someone call and pitch me.. i am curious to hear what your scripts sound like?
i have only made 2 cold calls so far both were to realtors who had pics in FREE realty mags(dirty roofs)....hehe no sale... if i knew who to call i might have greater success.
 
Every account that we have has been from a cold call that I have placed except for 2 - and 1 was a referral from someone I cold called........
I only cold call fleet accounts and commercial accounts..I would never market that way to residential ( I leave that up to the flyers )
 
Sorry - didnt even see this...russ is so quick to post his BS that the postings fall out of site too quickly....:D

I usually speak with "Fleet Operations Managers" for the fleet accounts.
For Commercial like Joe's Crab Shack & Outback Steakhouse, I just talk to the manager. I will cold call them and ask if they are currently having thier sidewalks cleaned and if they would mind us doing a free demo for them, oddly enough, most of them are not using anyone and they are pretty easy to sign on for a regular monthly service.

If you are calling big corporate offices you will have to ask for "New Vendor Inquiries" or ask to speak with the Regional Property Maintenance Manager.
 
facilities managers, purchasing agents, and maintenance supervisor are all good voicemail boxes to speak to...:mad:

Eventually when you get through you get fed some 'story' about their inhouse crew...then you 'call them out on it' and get your invite to show your abilities.

Wasn't in my plan of operations but...when it had to be done, it has paid great dividends.

I dont seem to have the time to make the calls.
 
if thats the case maybe i should start cold calling. maybe in the winter months.
 
Stacie - I think that as women we get a better response when WE cold call. Most of the time the people that I talk to on the other end of the line are men and they are more apt to listen to a female versus a male. I think we have a definite advantage.

So how is it going, are you getting the hang of it all?

I will chime in for her , she is doing great , she did 2 last week one for 37 stores and then on Friday she got one done for 112 more ! she is gone to meet with another Regional rep thats in town now from "un named " now to see about signing them now ..... more later !

THE 149 STORES FROM LAST WEEK ARE ALL QUATERLY CONTRACTS !

Thats my girl !
