Closing my doors.

As of July 31st, 2009, Pressure-X Power Washing, LLC will be closing its doors.

I wanna thank everybody on here that has helped me, and I met some great people in those past 2 1/2 years. I will be starting my new job this coming Monday, and in about 6 months will be joining the US Army.

Once again, I wanna thank all of you, especially Jeff LeCours and Ron, you 2 are great.

Ill still be checking in here every once in a while, I just can;t afford to keep the company open, the economy won this time around! Never had the necessary money or resources to begin with, I always hoped it would get better, but it never did, and you simply can't run a successful business with below-par equipment.

Good luck to all of you!!

Thanks Pat, I wish I could talk you out of closing.

Thanks Pat, I wish I could talk you out of closing.

Honestly, me too man, but money is money, if you don't have it, you can't do much of it. So much opportunity around this area for washing, but like I said, without the equipment, you can't take on those jobs, and only being able to do small residential, and people clinging onto their money, there isn't a whole lot I can do. I haven't had a single job in over 2 weeks. I wish I had the funds to purchase the equipment needed to go after the jobs around here, but I simply don't.

Like I said though, I thank all of you very much, especially you ron and jeff! :thank_you2:

Sorry to hear it did not work for you Pat. I am sure you will fit in well with the Army, your leadership and professionalism will translate well. Good luck form a former Drill Sgt.

Sorry to hear that you are closing your doors. The important thing is that you help out or take care of yourself and your family by whatever means you can.

It is very honorable and brave to join the military. Thank You in advance for your service to our great country.

Sometimes they give out money or scholarships, maybe it can be maneuvered into a business startup when the economy is better and you can start out with the equipment you want and need for the jobs you really wanted to get, you never know.

I'm not trying to be negative, but it really comes down to how bad you want it. There's work out there still and there's money to be earned. If you have a real burning desire to make it happen, you can.

My friend recently almost closed up his newly started mobile car detailing biz. He was down to his last few bucks and at the end of his rope. I took him out to knock on doors the other night. We knocked until 8:00pm at night without getting a single job. I've never gone out and not gotten one job! It was crazy.

But sure enough, just when it seemed hopeless, someone called from one of the flyers we put out. If you really want it, go out and get some work that your equipment can handle. Even if that means doing lots of small jobs. I like to think about in "Do or Die" or terms!

That said, I also don't know your situation. I still think anyone can make anything happen though. You have to get creative and think outside the box. I'm sure you'll do great with the military. Who knows, maybe you can start up again after your service with a little more cash. Either way, good luck!

I have literally been in that situation a lot of times and just when you are feeling like hanging it up, all hope is lost and the end is near, there is a small glimmer of light and work starts again.

We don't know your situation and it would be great if you could stay in the business but only you know your drive, ambition, goals, strengths, weaknesses, determination and value of success.

Good Luck with all that you do Pat. Don't be a stranger!

Hey Pat. At least you had the stones to give it a shot. You're a young guy, there will be plenty of other opportunities for you. You never know what the future holds. Good luck.

Sorry to hear it Pat!!
Good luck in anything you do in the future..Hows the baby doing??
As Russ said, thanks for what you're about to do for our country!!

If I would have stay in the military I would be retiring this August.......But know I wanted to go to college and party and drink.....lol Gosh I wish i could redo it.

I am sorry to hear you are leaving. You have giving insight in your posts. I understand why you need to go. There is a bumpy road the first few years of business. Some make it with help, others do not. Sorry to see you go.

On the other hand, my brother was a graduate from West Point. He stayed in the Army for a few years. He is now a financial advisor to some of the Major League Baseball Players. The Army taught him well. I think this should be taken as an opportunity and not a mishap. Learn what you can. Take the grants, education whenever available. Going in the Army is an great opportunity to expand your knowledge on the Army's dime.

Thats my 2 cents!

Going to miss ya. Be well,,, be safe.

It's sad to see you go. When the money is right try it again.
