Cleaning Cement Truck

Can someone please answer this question, i recently got a job to clean a couple of extremely dirty cement trucks: I explained to the client that it would take a couple of washing to to remove the excessive cement build-up......does anyone know other methods besides using muratic acid on this trucks....I really want to transform these trucks, because right now they are an eye-sore...please help

Sand blasting.
Really, you want a buffered muriatic acid to clean cement trucks. That is the only thing that will take the powder and film off, and if there is heavy buildup on the beauty ring, then you are in for some serious work to remove it. There used to be a chemical out there that would remove concrete by making it a peanut butter consistency, but I do not remember what it was called, or who makes it. If you find it let e know.

Terance, I have to agree with Scott that abrasive blasting is the only way to go. After cleaning out grout tanks interiors & exteriors & augers for piling companies in Sydney this is the preferred method. Use garnet 60/20 grade with a No 5 nozzles at 100psi from a 400cfm compressor. That should do the trick.

That reminds me

I was watching "Mythbusters" and they were talking about taking off dried cement from a cement truck. Well they stuck dynamite in it and it worked real well. Though I doubt you have the right permits to try that.

Later on they stuck about 800lbs of high explosives and desinigrated the truck. Needless to say it was clean.
