hey guys

I've got the 'video bug' from everyone!!

Put this together today - went out and did the washing this morning then played with the editing this afternoon.

Would welcome any feedback - it is work in progress and there are a couple of areas that I'll be changing.

Let me know what you think!

:D

Good Job Steve, I like that s/c of yours. Tha heartbeat sound is a cool addition. Keep up the good work!:)

Thanks Larry, I appreciate the kind words!

I need to get some more content before I actually unleash it as a marketing tool - but I'll work on that.

I think the start is a bit a long and the end with the Call and telephone number is poor - was just wanting to get finished for just now!!!

The surface cleaner is OK - it looks good in action, but is a pain when working on store fronts and entryways - it kicks out a lot of water and dirt, nightmare around doors and makes windows VERY dirty if it is a dirty sidewalk. Would like to get a 'Big Guy' as it has the 'skirt' on it... I've got the Whisper Wash Classic with the 'skirt', tend to use that on residential.

:)

Seems like if these videos are to gain customers you should narrate them with info on what you can do for them and not play music.

Hi Richard

You make a good point... I did think about that - but I don't think Property Managers and my target market would understand my Scottish accent!!! lol :p

It is work in progress - still figuring out the features of the video editing software and what I can and can't do, will most likely add more text so that it is 'presentation-like' and gives more info.

Although, with my marketing program I may just use the video as a visual representation to back up the literature I provide and face-to-face or telephone interaction

... we'll see.

thanks for your comments though :D

I agree with the video beginning and # at the end Steve but it is still good for yourr first video. I wear the same boots. Gots me some jellin going on for insoles but after sooo long on concrete they still get to ya. I've tried just about everything and my feet still hurt like heck if its more than 3-4 hrs of straight concrete work. I've got a big guy s/c and love it to death. Don't really start getting wet until it's time to rinse.:D

I was just checking out the bass pro shop boots that big ash posted. I like the tan shrt ones. we have a bass pro shop about 15 min from here. I think I'm gonna check them out. Where do you get the insoles you talking about Steve.

Thanks Steve,I'm gonna try them. I'm sick of coming home and wanting to unscrew my feet and throw them away at the end of the day.

Steven, not a bad first video.

Like the stylin white rubbber shrimper boots. lol hahahahaha

I would make the phone number at the end stop and shrink so it stays on the screen so if people wanted to write it down they could.

Music is not bad, better than some of that rap-crap that some people put on their videos thinking that it makes it cool or whatever they are thinking. The heartbeat is cool, kind of makes you wonder what is coming next.

I would show each before then it's after so the difference can be seen quickly because they might forget how dirty the area was when viewing so many before seeing the after pics.

I would sat that is a good video.

What program did you use to make it?

I didn't factor in the Scottish accent. You did do a very good first cut. Maybe a little too heavy on the before shots? Also maybe some shots further back to show it's in front of a fast food drive through, strip center etc. So a PM can see what a difference in the overall appearance it makes. Just an opinion.

Don't feel bad I was born here and wouldn't use my voice for narration. Sounds like a good line for meeting a gal. "I'm making a video for my company and you have a great voice etc".

Timely posts on the boots I've been going nuts for the past couple weeks trying to find boots for PW. I'm gonna check out the Lacrosse Monday at Gander Mt.

A dozen or so stainless steel bolts, washer and nylon locking nuts and a piece of garage door weather stripping will fix a lot of the water issues you are having with that s/c.

5 of 7 of our surface cleaners are square. on the back we have that strip that goes on the bottom of the doors. A long piece of aluminum and rubber. kinda like a squeegee. Lets the water out of the 3 sides and doesn't blow back on me.
