Does anyone know who is doing the circle k's here in arizona? I have just noticed guys a lot lately... they dont recover, they dont get gum, no surface cleaner... I didnt think they were being done at first, looking at them during the day, then I saw two guys tonight

Are you willing to do them for $75?

Explains a lot, doesn't it?

I've been after the regional manager for Circle K's for over a year now. Had 2 sit down meeting with him. Like Scott said, they claim to be broke, and want the stores done for under $100. Some store are upwards of 8000+ sq ft. Filthy, gum everywhere. Reclamation ? Could care less. Save your energy.

Their home office is here where I live.

For a little over 100 stores they have 2 trucks that work nites and have 2 employees per truck.

They do it all here by themselves including the parking lot striping and touch-up painting.

Not sure about the rest of the country but they don't want to pay what it is worth so it will always look like crap.

Before they had the 2 nice flatbed trucks, they had a regular truck with a cold water machine in the back and hoses on hose reels and they had 2 guys that just milked the clock all nite long.

Now with 2 nice new flatbed trucks with 4gpm hot water rigs, they have 2 guys on each truck milking the clock all nite long.

Here it is kind of useless talking to them, I gave up a couple years ago. Maybe someone with good selling skills can get through to them?

Chris, they know....I get the call when VIP come to Phx. I clean around 6 stores all around the airport...mainly the ones on the way back an fourth to the airport.

Funny , they know the guys they have are not doing much. I charge 475.00 for just the walk an parking directly infront of store.

The regional manager is not the main decision maker. There are three VP's over the valley, and they are the decision maker for all the stores in their respective area, and they talk, a lot.

I use to have deal with them all the time about 10 years ago, because I worked for one of their major vendors. I used to have them on my speed dial, and talked at least once a week.

Thats funny, i remember the same thing. Tim was the guy i could never get off the phone...LOL

I dont see why they even bother having it done then. I sat and watched some guys do it, took them about 15 min is all... They could buy a garden hose for all the stores and have the guy working at night just spray it off. I just think if your gonna do something you should do it right...

We agree, all they really care about is the oil....safety...comestics not so much.

They won't pay that every 15 or 30 days here, if we did one of those cleanings it would be 15 to 18 hundred.

We would be there all night...so you make way more at that rate. your around 24 hundred a night. Thats not going to fly here, cameras will tell the tale...why ongod green earth do you do target dumpsters for 175.00 a pop if your making 2400 a night per crew?

How many 175 compactors can you do in 8 hours.

If you do alot of commercial you wil someday have a slip an fall accident. The customer will give your name to the insurance and lawyers. They will write you a letter talking about your responsibility and why there client pays you.

You might have to testify in a court room or do a leagal depo...

It has nothing to do with you did anything wrong, they just want to show the partys involved they were being responsible.

depends on how far apart they are and how dirty they are
i do more than that ron i do there dumpster and there loading ereas and the flat cleaning and it it ever month that i do them.yes ron it takes me 2 hours to do the gas stations with to guys that know what they are doing they get there they close the store for the two hour cleaning thats the only way we clean them.

Down here they never close the store, the guys block off part of the area under the canopy, clean that side then go and move cones to the other side then do that part then do the parking area and sidewalks.

People are always driving over their hoses, driving over the cones, etc....

I think that if I did those stores or similar places that were open while I was cleaning them, I would make the wooden road barricades and use that to block the areas. I have been wanting to make some that will come apart so they take up less room in a trailer but just don't have any of those kind of accounts yet to need the barricades yet.

they will still run thru them i let them know that im not responsible for there customers complaining about getting water or chems on them also there cars so they will let me come in and close the store for the time aloted for it goes so much quiker an less head ache that way you can sell it to them as a libality risk not all will doit but most will.offer free window cleaning when you are done:yes4::yes4::yes4::yes4:

If you could block the entrances/exits so nobody would be coming in/going out then you could do the whole place a lot faster, that would be nice.

I guess by offering free window cleaning for them closing for the 2 hours would not be a bad idea. You get to finish a lot faster and not deal with all the moving cones around and waiting on customers to move, just have to do the windows when the job is done.

At the rate you charge for circle K you would need to do nearly 14 a day to keep up your rate. I cannot do more than three in a day but i get more 450.00 to 750.00

Its a different animal in Phx i guess, or maybe i have just raised the prices....

See you in Myrtle beach
