Church....PWI my thoughts

I don't know what it is, but most Sundays while I am listening to "Gods Word"
Most of the time 2 things come into my mind.

-1. If my family could here this message.........
-2. If some of the guys here on PWI could here this message.........
Surely they might realize their short comings and realize if their would ended today
They would not be good enough to make it to heaven. (Can't be good enough)

As some of my siblings might tell me, (as some of you) Who am I to judge and just start there
saying and who am I to tell someone they are lost, how do I know, only God knows and the counter attacks on me will continue.....Becuse a lost person will continue to fight and justify his sins up until he surrenders to God.

One fact is for sure....you can not be Saved if you never thought you was lost.

One thing I learned in church today.....the term "Christians " was only mentioned in the bible only
3 times and the word " disciples" was mentioned 250 or so times.
Then I learned that God called us all to be his "disciples" and we as "disciples" are told to spread
"The Gospel" and tell everyone and expect to persecuted and you could possibly lose your life.
(This will happen near the end of times)

..sometimes it just might be a seed or if you are really blessed..you
Might actually lead a person to "Accepting Christ as Their Personal Savior"
"I hope one day God will bless me with that privilege"

One thing you need to know about me......I make posts like these because I care, not because I am better or
Judging anyone and I do not know if one is saved or not .....only you and God know.
I don't want to see no one lost, especially when I had a chance to witness and I did not.

Well that is one good thing about Church...you come out of it wanting to share.

Last note Thank you to all our troops past, present and future for your dedication to our country!
 
Great post! We all should be witnesses everyday and let our light shine so that others can see Christ in us. I'm not a preacher and fall very short many times daily of showing Christ through me, but I do try to be a witness to others as much as possible. I guess that's why I decided to go back on the road singing gospel music most weekends....to be a witness for him. I feel most times like I don't get a day off because I'm either running a PW company or living on a tour bus (sometimes I do both! Lol) but in the end, it's what I can do for Christ to bring others either to him or closer to him is my focus. Thank you for posting this....

Al, I don't understand your recurring claim that you are attacked here for your beliefs. It almost seems like you want to be attacked to somehow validate your beliefs.

I have come up against you for one thing. That being your early posts trying to scare everyone into buying into the needless purchase of thousands of dollars of reclaim equipment followed by your failure to make sales that utilized the equipment and capped off by a pride that would not allow you to warn others about making the same mistake.

Apparently your hatred of me is more important to you than the contractors who could save a lot of money and disappointment if you would just admit I was right about the "scare tactics" all along. But that is your decision. You have to live with it.

As far as your religious beliefs go, that is between you and God. I trust that if I am wrong on some issues God will save me in spite of my weak understanding and will do exactly the same with you.

Most of the great characters in the Bible were not rocket scientists. They were simple men and women who trusted in God and tried to follow his will as they understood it.

If you follow the New Testament closely you will find that Jesus held his harshest criticism for those who were the most judgemental of others...the scribes.. Pharisees..and Sadducees.

He chose to eat with the prostitutes, drunks and tax collectors. The judgemental ones even called him a glutton and a winebibber because he didn't fit their understanding of what the Son of God should be.

I was raised on the judgemental side of the fence. Like he did with Paul, God struck me down and then opened my eyes and let me see that the small circle of salvation I had drawn around me and the few others who believed just like me was a tiny, insignificant portion of the universal "Church". A church that contains not only you and me, but millions of others who have put their trust in the Lord Jesus and follow him to the best of their understanding, even when that understanding is flawed.

That is my belief Al. I wish you Godspeed on your quest to share the Gospel. I hope you can do the same for me.

One of the big causes of hatred towards Christians is the hypocrisy witnessed by those who see deception, selfishness and manipulation accompanied by the excuse of "It's just business".

We are called to do business on a higher plane. We are called to pay fair wages, tell the truth to our customers, and do our work as if we were doing it for God himself. And when that work consists of representing other contractors the responsibility is even higher.

Like I said before, everyone makes mistakes. Some treat an employee poorly. Some take on too much debt. Some fail to perform work to the best of their ability. I have personally failed in these and many other ways.

But a Christian learns from mistakes and relies on the help of God and his own conscience to steer clear of future mistakes to the best of their ability.

Christians who lie and manipulate and only show any signs of sorrow when caught are the reason so many non-believers will never be reached.

Thankfully God knows our hearts and will separate the wheat from the chaff in the end. The chaff can be very convincing to innocent Christians here on earth.

LOL! Never a dull moment here! I love you guys! I do agree with one thing both you guys said... it is between you and god. Not you or any one else here or on this planet. Your relationship with the big guy upstairs should be your own deal. On the other hand, I've read this thread about 4 times now, and never once, did he mention your name Tony... at all .(im pretty sure n e ways) I dont know either of you, , but both of you sound like good people! There are many different religions who believe many different things. In my opinion, if you feel threatened about some words on the internet, just let it go. Or do I have to get you guys together and hug? Lol!

We have a history. We are just two guys who disagree doing the best we know how.
