Chain Jumping On Titan?

Titan electric reel sounds like the chain is jumping. I need to tighten it,..It looks as though the motor bolts are likely slipping in the slots,..So I guess they need loosened and then the motor pushed against to tighten the chain,..and then tighten the bolts. This is fairly rudimentary,..but I do wish they would put a tension bolt you could simply tighten to a desired tension,..and then tighten the motor bolts,..I didn't see a tension adjustment bolt,.so I guess there isn't one.

Thanks Lou,..I've got one season on mine,..and the chain always did sound a little sloppy,..right outta' the box as you said,...,..but sitting over the Winter seemed to have made it worse I guess. When you do your alignment,..do you move the reel spool or the motor? Haven't really got into it yet,..but it doesn't look as though the motor has any adjustment for alignment,..short of using spacers,..and that's only if it needs aligned "out"? Gonna work on it today before I leave for work,..have to wait for the temps to come up this morning anyhow.

Also,..as soon as I started yesterday,..the grease fitting on the Super Swivel was spraying water,..Didn't do it a few days ago,..But anyhow,..I pulled the fitting out and used Teflon tape and re-sealed it,..am afraid it's gonna do it again,..so I think I'm gonna replace the grease fitting altogether.

I just tightened the chain,.others may already know,.but for those who don't,..It's easier to shim the reel up a tad,..rather than trying to slide the motor bolts in the slots. Made it it work much better and still isn't harder to pull hose off the spool.

Hey Jeff
I have to do this, can you explain a little further in detail what you mean by shim the reel up, ?? are you talking about just putting spacers under the reel holders the rubber things?? any help would be much appreciated

thanks
