Caulking??????

I just don't understand, when my crews reposition a door they caulk it and we have used Dap because of price and we were unable to find the 1500 degree product. Are you suggesting to replace the door with a self sealing gasket door? Or are you saying to put a regasket the door.

Yes and no. The gaskets on Ductmate, Flame Gard along with older doors that were hand made become a issue. Otherwords we have no way to seal the doors when the gaskets wear. Sure we can request that they buy a new door-but!!!!

If the code requires 1500 and that product is not avalible-Then the code is suspect. Hell put it at 2000-3000-----:p
