Cars and Trucks.

My name is Kyle and i've been washing cars at some locel carlots in Tallahassee FL to pay my tuition. I'm about to get a hot water unit and did plan to use them if i can get any truck fleets, as well as on the new cars i am doing now. I hoped it might cut the dirt and grease that cold units don't get. I'm tiered of shamoising cars, so if any one knows any reasons not to use hot water on cars please share. Exspecialy if you have any other tips ie. chemicals. Insurance is also very hard to come by here. If any one knows a carrier that covers florida i'd greatly appreciate it. Thank you!

Is the guy you need to talk too.
For car lot's it's all in the supply water.
You want deionised water and need a place and equipment for that. Reg. tap water will/should be softened at the very least or you'll have to hand wipe every car, every time.
Make sure your new hot water rig has a thermostat. You dont want hot water just warm water.

Most hot water rigs will strip the wax off of cars, especially if you are using soap.
You do not want the temp above about 110 degrees or it will cause you problems. IF you are doing car lots, they should be detailed before you wash them. If they are not then I would not want to do them, because they would require soap, at least not for the price that most lots are willing to pay.
As for never wiping down a car again, they have to be rinsed awfully well to avoid the water spots and streaking.
