Carry your own water?

We have a couple of locations at which it would be much easier to bring our own water. We do have a small (40-50 gallon?) water tank. The extra 400 lbs is no problem. Anyone doing this? Small average job with one u/b fan & one 10' duct - what is your experience - 40 gallons enough?

For small jobs like that we use a Hotsy 550 series 2.2 gpm 1200 psi, mounted in a van. It will pull from a tank OK.

Why can't you get a water supply, just curious. However I am not sure I would start a job with just 40 gallons of water. On a good day it should be fine, but on those other days.

Never said we couldn't get a water supply - said it is "much easier to bring...". After thinking about it, with 2gpm if one spends 10 minutes on the impeller/curbing and 10 minutes on the discharge aprons/bowls - there goes your 40 gallons. Would be cutting it a bit close - better get a bigger tank or forget it.
