Buying more equipment

My feed hose reel is one you gave to Jason. I changed up the configuration of fittings on it and it fills really fast. Last night at every station we did only running one 8gpm machine the supply filled the tank up while working.

I have thought about it but dont really need anymore than 525, plus I would have to upgrade axles again so m answer would be no, the largest tank I would probably want to carry would be a 750 but I will stick with the 525's for now.

The next option I am going to look at is a special order hose reel with a 1 in center pipe, right now we use summits that only have a half inch so it restricts the flow. I want to use a 30 in wide so I can run 500 foot of 3/4

I have a supplier that gets the hose in 300' or 600' sections of all sizes.

It would be nice to get one length of 300' on one hose reel. Their hose is Parker hose, hard to find the Goodyear hose here but I have seen the Goodyear hose and it is good too.

This red Parker 3/4" hose is around $1.50 per foot but if you buy the 300' roll I think you get a discount.

No problem.

You might ask them if they could just drop ship it from the manufacturer so the shipping only happens one time.

My next hose reel will be 300' plus for supply and I will buy the roll so only 2 connections on the hose and it will be the 3/4" or 1" pipe and swivels, not the 1/2" or smaller.

I wish you mentioned this about a week ago, just had the generic hose reels put on.
A whole year of planning my trailer and so many things I want to change already (input & output flow restriction slipped by me).

I believe that I was asking questions about the hose reel being restrictive some weeks ago:

Suppy Hose Reel Restrictive?
http://www.propowerwash.com/board/upload/showthread.php?t=13296

I wanted to maximize the flow going to the tank from the water source.

I ended up using a Hannay Electric hose reel that was on my other trailer which has a swivel that looks just like the super swivel and when you look inside it from the end so you can see where it comes out of the pipe in the hose reel to the swivel and then out, that hole is a lot larger than the hole in the Rapid Reel swivel.

Taking out other restrictions I found along the way allows me to fill that 325 gallon tank a lot faster than before from my same supply hose here at the house.

You might not have seen this thread but it is here. Take a look inside your swivel and see the hole size, you can probably change out the swivel to a Super Swivel too.

Good Luck!
