Busted Titan reel

Has anyone had the center shaft/pipe of a Titan reel split? Ive taken the reel itself off of the frame, but don't see an easy way to take the pipe out.

This pipe busted right down the middle. I'm guessing where it was originally joined when being made.

I have on two of mine one of mine the pipe just crumbled into pieces and water went flying everwhere.They should have made that pipe and easy fix just screw another onto the middle pipe.However there solution is a 105.00 piece of stainless pipe.Just take those bolts off at the ends and replace the whole piece of pipe.Get stainless if you have the regular pipe in there now.

Any pics of the damage on either reels, this might help others order the stainless and change it out before it causes downtime.

I've had to replace my 18 inch manifold twice ( chemical reel. ) and one of my 12 inch manifold (high pressure reel ) once. Both stainless. They are a real PITA to change out so I normally just drop the reel off and have my local repair guy do it. Just like anything else we use and abuse in this business, it doesn't last forever.

I agree with Hal the Stainless plumbing will last a lot longer than the regular black pipe especially if you are running any chems through it. let me know if you can't find it Chris and I can get it for you. Feel free to call if you have questions on it at all.

Thanks guys. I'm going to pull it out and see of I can finish taking it apart. I was afraid of breaking the thing worse before trying to get the old pipe out .
