I have a landa slt 8gpm 300 psi PWer and it was working fine. was washing a fleet and about 1 hr into the wash i noticed that the water wasnt hot any more. but i checked all but the spark. but the 1 thing i did notice was that the volt meter stopped working and i will try to plug a light into the extra generator port later but just wondering what you guy think it could be. and do they rebuild generators? thanks for you help

Sounds like you have an electric pressure washer....is that right?

no, the slt is a very large unit thats very nice as well. Could be as little as a flow switch or pressure switch. Did you do the old screwdriver check on the transformer to see if you have spark?

If you do have spark then make sure your getting fuel and that the pressure/flow switch is working properly. I have not dealt with a flow switch however it should operate in the same manner as a pressure switch. Others will chime in here as well. As the delco video online says, its either air, fuel, or spark. Thats all required to get fire. Most times you can check to see if the pressure/flow switch is working properly by opening the ball valve while standing near the burner and listen for a different sound from the burner or at least on mine you can.

no its gas gene, and i have air and fuel but got dark and had to finish the fleet with cold water. In the am i will check if i have spark. I listened to the buener and didnt hear and burning/jet sound. how would i check the flow switch? and may sound dumb of me asking but is that the lil bolt looking thing after the coil with a copper wire? if not where are they normaly located? thanks for your help

On the bright side, when stuff breaks you get to learn about how it works, how to diagnose it and how to fix it. The pressure or flow switch will be plumbed not too far from the pump or on it even and will have a cord going back to the area where you turn your burner on. One wire in the cord is power to the switch, the other goes to the solenoid so one way to test it is to bypass it and run power right to solenoid. You should hear and feel the solenoid operate. If it's dark enough you can see the golw from the spark by looking in through the airband. Good Luck

I would check the belt and reset switch. you could also try the fuel filter, i got some bad gas one time and that turned out to be the problem

Now let's not start throwing parts at it...check you generator output first. Could be nothing more than a broken belt.

I agree check your generator first. Just plug the unit into a wall socket if it works there you go...

I would just buy a new machine....

I would check fuel, fire and air. In that order. Make sure that you are getting fuel to the burner, make sure that you have spark at the ignitor or transformer, and make sure the air intake is not blocked. Once you do these things you can back out to see what the real problem is.

Fuel, Fire and Air. Wasn't that a band in the 70's ???

:D

10-4 back that bolt out and there is a spring and magnet in there. Take them out and clean the inside with a small brush. The magnet get's hung up in there and stops it from firing.

I to have a Landa but it is disel burner. I had problems to but come to find out it was the wiring had come loose under the wire nuts which was hiding under the black tape. Factory did a poor job wiring it together. This is well after I tried other things. It wasnt until had to move some wires and found out there were all coming apart.

Hey guys got it! it was the belt to the gen. and since i had to take the whole dam thing apart shes getting a new mufler with the exahust pipe(because the bolts fell off and the others are rusted on), oil filter, fuel filter, disel filter, air filter, spark plugs, new packings + check valves. Oh yeah and 3 new belts and one for a spare. and a good cleaning :) thanks for all of you that helped me figure it out.
