Just wondering if any of you use brass or stainless fittings. I have used brass and steel for several years and their ok, but seems to me they maybe not holding up as well as others? I buy them in bulk about $50 for 60 pieces. (Water Cannon, in Fla.). I use Viton O- rings with them. Remember, I use low pressure and volume 2.2@1,200 what would you guys say? Thanks mikey

Ok I use different guns and only 3/8 fittings no 1/4 inch fittings , each gun has different lengths and a different type nozzle for the application. I do use stainless but I was told that the real reason o-rings blow out on either brass or stainles is due to the male stud fitting becoming scratched or burred on the end.. .. This happens when you roll up your hose and drag the fittings on the ground.. But I still use stainless.. We usually go thru about 10 o-rings a week.....

Nobodyintown has Viton O-rings so I buy the CheaPys.. Also 3000 psi @4gpm at 210 degrees works them real good.. But Mostly I blow them on the steamer 2500psi @2.2 gpm at 300 degrees.

All it takes is high temps and /or a bad male end to chew up O rings, High Temp. or not.
Brass works fine. Unless it gets dropped hard or from far up. Mtngoat.
