Bought the new pump..

I bought the Rigid gas air compressor yesterday, and ordered the All Flo pump, 200 foot of 5/8ths hose, the poly gun and all the fittings today from Lori.

Already have several roof cleaning jobs lined up. I'm pretty excited about using the All Flo vs. a 12v pump.

Ill post some pictures once I have it all completed..

That seems like a great system. How much will a complete outfit cost? My next roof purchase will be for something like that.

Call Lori and she can send you a detailed quote. There's several things that alter the price, like what kind of gun assembly you want, what kind of hose and how much, do you want the single or dual manifold All Flo, do you want a Titan SS hose reel or not.. different size fittings and all kinds of other little things. These systems are kind of custom made.

The air compressor I got from home depot was 729.00 before tax. You can usually find a 10% off coupon to save a few bucks too.

You will love it. It's the same setup I have and it just keeps pumping day by day. You may have problems with the gun leaking after a while then make a PVC wand with a ball valve much better setup and problem free.

Micah is right. His All-Flo air diaphragm system will last him a very long time. (Five Year Warranty on the Pump)

Each system is custom assembled based on your specifications. Out of the box systems are nice but eacc system 'behaves' a little differently. Some guys use 55 gallon drums or use the back of a truck. We custom cust and crimp the hose to your length requirements. We do not use hose barbs on these systems.

Congratulations, Micah, on being the proud new owner of a headache free roof cleaning system!

You better bring that to New Orleans in August, Micah. Enough of the window cleaners are interested in roof cleaning that you could probably charge admission to check it out.

You are right about that poly gun. It has ss ball and spring which becomes pitted. I explain that to each potential buyer. You may use a pressure washer gun with a ceramic ball instead.

You can go to Home Depot or the local hardware store to make your own ball valve wand assembly. We prefer all sch 80 components. However, sch 40 is easier to find.

All-Flo, Yamada, or Delavan 5850 systems:
Get a 1/2" sch 40 or 80 threaded ball valve
Threaded 1/2" nipple to desired length
45 deg threaded coupler
1/2" x 1/4" reducing bushing
1/4" mpt socket in stainless steel
1/4" fpt plug in stainless steel
Spraying Systems SS or PVDF nozzle
Pipe Dope for assembly

Delavan Fatboy
Use only a 3/4" threaded ball valve
NO NIPPLE
3/4" x 1/4" reducing bushing
1/4" mpt socket in stainless steel
1/4" fpt plug in stainless steel
Spraying Systems SS or PVDF nozzle
Pipe Dope for assembly

That is catchy! "Headache Free Roof Cleaning System".

That is cool.

I bought the same system as Micah and am looking forward to putting it together.

Some of it arrived today, but I ordered the electric wind Titan reel and that has not shipped yet. I have an electric wind Cox reel that I use for pressure washing & I love it but I do not run SH through it due to corrosion problems. I am hoping the Titan reel will hold up to chemical being pumped through it.

I bought my Rigid compressor last week from Home Depot. I had to return it because it was DOA. Home Depot gave me no hassle. I had a 10% coupon from Lowes and they even accepted it.

I got it at http://www.lowes.com/cd_Coupon+Registration_253641591_

That is great Marcus, Congratulations!

I would change out the swivel that comes on either of those hose reels with a super swivel, they hold up great with those roof cleaning chemicals.

Tampa Roof Cleaning Convention July 30 & 31

Hey Chris, are you going top the convention this year in Tampa?

I just called Dana @ (813) 289-1950 and booked my reservation for a Cabana room again. This time I am bringing the entire family...I have 2 other boys coming.

Dana said that I was the 1st to book. With luck Ron will give me a prize for being the 1st to book. I wanted the same room as last time so I called ahead. I will be in room 145.

Last year was a fantastic convention & I am looking forward to it again.

PS Thanks for the heads up on the Super Swivel. I thought that it came with it but again I could be wrong. Maybe Lori will fill us in.
