Boots and gloves

Muck boots. Not fur lined, but without a doubt the best rubber boots out there. A second choice that is quite a bit cheaper is shoesforcrews.com.
Gloves, you are on your own.

I buy purple nitrile gloves from Harbor Freight. 50 gloves for $10. I think they're like 9 mil. I use these for the liner, for the outer glove I use Atlas 370 nitrile gloves. This is a nice snug fitting combo with great grip, dexterity, chemical resiliency and considerably long life. Nitrile is a tough material and very tear resistant, way better than latex. One word of caution though,..if you use hydrochloric acid, the knit backing on the Atlas 370 will not handle it.
12.5% bleach, Sodium Hydroxide isn't a problem. For the range of products I use hydrochloric seems to be the only thing that has a detrimental affect on them. I buy mine from a vendor on ebay.

For boots I prefer Muck Boots as mentioned above,..I use to buy the tall boots,..but last year I bought pair of the hiking type boot they sell..made the same as the tall boots,.. but much lighter,.. and don't sweat as bad.

Don't wear knee hi socks with your boots. If you pants gets wet knee hi socks act like a wick and draws the water to you feet. Also take extra socks and change in middle of shift. It will make you feel refreshed.

I've done that before. Wet feet make for a bad day/night.

I finally broke down and bought a pair of 12 inch Muck Boots a couple months ago. I find myself still wearing them even after I get home sometimes. Very comfortable. Nothing better than coming home after a long day and your feet are still dry. I don't wear gloves so I can't help on that end.

Jeff why do you wear the purle nitrile gloves underneath? Is it because of the moisture seeping through the atlas gloves? Seems like it would be a pain putting one over the other.

Hey Rob, the Atlas gloves are most likely good enough on their own. I just prefer the extra protection the nitrile liner provides to the back of my hand. Just personal choice on my part.
And for my hand size in particular the liner underneath makes the size large glove a perfect snug fit. Where as medium size Atlas gloves are too small, even without the liners.
But no,.for me there is no issue with putting them over the liners. When the Atlas gloves are brand new I will get them wet first then put them on,..just makes it easier. After the first use though there's no need to get them wet.

XTRATuf Boots- Fishing and Oil field boots.. You will see the guys on deadliest catch and a lot of the guys in Ax men wearing these boots. Expensive- about $120.00 but worth every penny. Super comfortable and dry and can be worn all day long.

Good sock's are the most important thing....

You mean like these:

Which I find to be totally awesome. Plus they have a lifetime warranty so I can exchange them every year or 2!
