Could anyone please tell me if anyone on this board had ever advertised in the blue book and what kind of response did you get.

I spend 129 a month. Sometimes for months I hear nothing, then $5,000 emergency clean up. Got a $21,000 interior warehouse job for a painting contractor. It's a crap shoot.
 
What is a "Blue Book"??? I live in New England and I don't think I've heard of it.

We've been using it since day 1 (ish). We've landed several nice jobs - been to some great networking events. It's one expense that I never question. It is a very professional and widely used publication in the construction arena. That fact that someone can look and "verify" our legitimacy gives us more credibility & justification for our fees.
 
I am listed in the Blue Book also. It doesn't cost anything for a simple ad. I also used it recently to find a welder to weld on my machine.

I compare their book to about 1/2 the size of Graingers catalog it's that thick.
