bleach is used to clean and sanitize.
It breaks down large dirt particals into smaller ones that cant stick to surfaces.
It also kills mold and bacteria spores.
If you spray it wear a mask.
Never mix it with a acid.
Pre spray plants or cover them before use and water after.
Bleach breaks down to salt and soda ash.
I use it when mold is a problem and you need a short dwell time. As in house washing.
I use precarbonted bleach for wood. Its much safer but you need a longer dwell time for it to be effective. You need to mix the pre carb at the time of use. It's only effective for about an hour or 2.

How well does it work on washing a house?(vinyl)
Will it remove the black spots on the vinyl?
Have a big problem with brown spots from bugs!!!!

if you are talking about a black dot about the size of a pin head, seems to be where mulch is near the house, no the bleach wont help.
It's called shotgun fungus. I have yet to find a chem that can get this off. The black dot is a left over caseing that shot a mold spore up to 200 ft. It started out white.
If this is not the case and you have some king of bug crap, try ENVRIOSPECKS DELIMONENE I like that stuff. In the beginning I heard it was hard to work with. I think it work's well. You just need to be carefull not to let it dry on windows.
$80 for 55 gal and I use 2 gal of it to 3 gal of H20. Then x-jet it on. Dont let it gather up on the bottom piece of plastic moulding and have it run down a painted or stained post. It will eat the paint off:mad: If mold is on the house I use 1 1/2 gal bleach-1 1/2 gal delimonene and 2 gal water. Works well for me. 2 story,4 bedroom, used 15 gal of mix. So the chems for house washing are cheap. If the x-jet did"nt look like a pot pipe I would gold plate it and wear it around my neck.
Some people e-mail me not to post too much on house washing because lowballers read this stuff.
I figure is they are smart enuff to read this, they are smart enuff to get BLASTMASTER. They did a big artical on this this month. So what I have to say wont do any more damage.
That paper mag. blastmaster is a lowballers wet dream. For $2 a copy they give you direction's on how to use your HOME DEPOT unit to make money.

That delimonene can be bad on a windy day, spray it one play get it on neibghours windows or brick, ouch, other than that works well.
Blastmaster ,first i thought i would like it,but there is no good info to read. They right bulls..... One article stated that sod hydrox is not good for wood, man claimed to be an expert said it burns it!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!It restores it,it dont burn it.I would bet any money on this issue.
Oh well

I dont know if SH restores wood but it sure will strip old sealers. It raises the heck out of the PH. You need to bring the PH back down to around 7 after you use it.
SH will break down the lignin in the wood [ thats the celulose that hold's wood together]
Paper mfg. use it to get down to just the fiber of wood and get rid of the languin.
You need languin to hold your wood together.
This is why you must rinse rinse rinse rinse after useing a stripper.
Liquid plumber is 60% SH and look what that stuff will eat. Grease, hair, your pipes.
Take a piece of wood and put it in a bucket of HD-80 overnight and see what happens to it.
JOHNNY the word BURN my not be the right word, but it will breakdown the laguin if left on too long. Can I send you my address so you can send me a check. lol

Thats why we dont dwell decks overnight.SH will loosen up the fibers and restore it.But everyone has their own methods and believes in what they want to believe. When you strip a deck, does it come just stripped or also restored at same time?

JOHNY depending on how strong of SH you use and how long you let it dwell, will depend on the amount of "restoring" it will do.
You sure dont want to use HD-80 on never sealed wood.
When it comes to strippers it all comes down to who has the % of SH you need to get the job done.
Wolmens is getting a little stronger. So some like it.
A safe cleaner is a pre-carb bleach.
On the other end of the spectrum is the
"brass balls" HD-80 CONTRACTOR USE ONLY!
ITS CURRENTLY THE SLEDGE HAMMER OF STRIPPERS
The stain or sealer has penatrated the wood fibers
SH chemicaly sands the layers of fibers off and you wash them away. I would never leave a just stripped job where i used SH without nuet. it before i left. lots of times you must go back and nuet. a second time after it dries.
