Bleach Powder by Delux, Questions Answered Here!

could the green wash boost regular bleach then? or only powder bleach? Also, what makes this safer on plants?

I have used the Green Wash with reg SH for over a decade. It was designed to work with SH first. Also the BP is made from something other than salt. Salt is one of the 4 things that hurts the plants.

So Green Wash cant be added straight to the mix. The Green Wash has to be downstreamed into the BP and water mix has you go? I really don't understand.

Here is the mixing chart. also yes you can add Green Wash directly if you have a one batch set up. attached is an image on that as well.

so 50 pounds makes 100 gallons at a 4% solution?

Yes but with the green wash added I have been cleaning roofs at far less than that. We can solidly get 3 roofs or better from a bucket. However yall are going to hash that out some yourselves. Some use more than others. The pool supply doesn't say how much bleach will clean a roof and our guidelines are just that guidelines.

Thanks,

is there anyway we can see a MSDS before ordering it? I know pool shock (calcium hyphochlorite) tends to leave a residue? This doesn't leave a residue? And you can also order 50lb jugs of it for about $100.00.

Ron,
For the safety reasons Delux makes available all our MSDS sheets online for view 24/7. You don't have to buy product just to get an MSDS. It is far more important that anyone can access these in case of an emergency.

For a complete list of MSDS:

For the MSDS on Powder Bleach Concentrate

Green Wash will greatly aid in controling issue with the residue.

If you are asking what Delux sells the Powder Bleach Conctrate for it comes in 50lbs containder for $148.99. Call for quote on volume. Here is the link for ordering the Powder Bleach Concentrate.

If you are comparing our product to the pool supplies. It is pretty easy to find 25lbs containers for around the $100 range not to sure about the 50lbs. But keep in mind our product is for this industry.

I like the pricing. We pay $3 a gal for sh. Even with the cost of shipping the cost evens out. If it will go further then there will be a savings. Just the handling of the product will be easier then barrels.

Good points Lenny. I do wonder though if getting the powder totally in suspension may take a bit of time. I use a cherry smelling powder soap that I sometimes wish was a liquid so I could just dump it in and go.

Hey Y'all,

Here are the major points I can see for using Bleach Powder completely as a replacement for SH or even augmenting your SH for longer cleaning days.

1. Bleach Powder is a direct replacement for liquid bleach.
2. Bleach Powder meets DOT requirements requiring no CDL or HazMat endorsements. (SH requires both if vehicle capacity is more than 119 gallons)
3. Bleach Powder is 100% completely biodegradable.
4. Bleach Powder is significantly less damaging to plants.
5. Bleach Powder can be easily stored on location for owner operators.
6. Bleach Powder can be carried dry and mixed on demand at job site.
7. Bleach Powder can rescue liquid bleach users when they run low on bleach.
8. Bleach Powder can end the "chasing your tail" of running to the bleach supply and not being in control of your bleach destiny.
9. Bleach Powder is more welcomed by landlords, where adding bleach tanks is frowned upon.
10. Bleach Powder is actually labeled for cleaning roofs and exteriors. Liquid bleach is not and use against labeling is against federal law.

Hope this gets some fruitful discussions going.

So about how much green wash should I get to add to a 55 gal drum of home made bleach (pool shock and water) or do I need to be using store bought bleach. I have been doing alot of comparing to bleach vs. powder bleach vs pool shock (non trichlor) and see no major difference except the powder bleach and pool shock are going to be a stronger mix.
