Blacktop Parking Lot Cleaning

A friend of mine owns a company with a black top parking lot. It used to be an old Napa auto parts store before they started leasing it. So a bunch of vehicles have left their mark over time.

He is thinking about letting me wash it. So I need to know what all goes into cleaning a blacktop parking lot. Are there certain chemicals that help take up oil much better? What about Bleach or Muriatic acid?

Also is it something I'm going to have to do with the wand or will a surface cleaner do the trick?

Also to note I have a Cold Water system.

Smittie,
You can use kitty litter to get up the excess oil.You have to be careful not to use too much pressure on asphalt or you will blast holes in it.Basically you will be rinsing only there isn't much more you can do.Asphalt is petrolium based you can't use degreasers....bleach would have little effect and I would steer clear of acids.
