Best ways to advertise?

Any ideas? Do you think its a good idea knocking on doors with lots of algae on there house and explain to them what i can do to there home, and maybe hand them a flyer or something? I'd appreciate ideas on cheap ways and expensive ways to develop business for a little timer like my self.. Thanks..

Doorhangers are cheap and just requirew time to distribute. Don't do them haphazardly. Pick 500 houses and hit them every 10 days or so.

PS: Advertising to people with dirty houses may seem like a good idea but the opposite is true. There is a reason the house is covered in mold.. the homeowner doesn't care. Pick the neighborhoods that have clean looking properties and high contractor activity ie landscapers, masons etc. Half the houses we wash don't look dirty from the street.

Very true what Ken says, I rarely will target a real bad moldy complex or apartment buildings.

I have also found that targeting the "dirty" homes get you nowhere.
