Best water supply hose?

I've been trying to find one good quality hose for supply lines for my rigs for quite some time but I've never been able to find one that doesn't easily, kink, twist or break.

What is the best supply hose you've found for your hose reels????

A couple years ago people were bragging about MEAN GREEN hose found online. I think Michael K was big on them. I never ordered, but have not had too either.

I was looking at mean green also. Just not sure. I have seen the Goodyear black rubber which appears to be very well made. I have had the red ribbed on and it lasted for a few years before the outer shell cracked open. Still does not leak, but it coming.

Dose anyone know / have bought mean green hose?

I am with the goodyear crowd. If it is not a smooth rubber outer shell, I don't think it will last for me. The goodyear hose is the bomb. You have to buy it at a commerical hose store, and it is not cheap, but lasts forever.

yeah, the smooth covers are garbage, I love the real rubber hoses, they are a bit heavy and bulky but will last forever

Look at the inner and outer shells on this hose! so much more outer shell. It's great about not flattening and not getting flat spots, dents. It wears like no other. Doesn't split or crack. 60-65 cents a foot.

You guys are going to make fun of me for this, but I've been using this for over three years now and it works great! Plus it takes only a few minutes to pick up spares or replacements if needed.

The black cover on it is slick so it slides through your hand easily when you're rolling it on the reel. It's $36.00 at Walmart

I was going to make fun of you until I saw it was a Gilmour Flexogen. They are good hoses. We use a heavier duty version here at the shop. Last us a while even after the forklift has ran over it a couple times.

I have the red good year hose and love it as well however i will Agree with Tony too, I have one rig with several hundred feet of the walmart black hose and its great as well just keep some fittings in the truck and a spare hose or two and your golden

I am with Nicole. Gilmour makes an excellent hose. It is kind of surprising that it is found at Walmart. I don't like the 5/8" size, though
