Best Online Distributor?

Go with 12gpm, electric hose reels, 500 gallon water tank, full reclaim, hot water (300 degrees plus).

...Not. You don't need the biggest and baddest starting out. Doesn't matter what pump and 4gpm will do you just fine. Unless you are running your machine 65 hours a week, anything not chinese will hold up fine for a year or two so you can market, make some money and upgrade later. Any of the machines from the 3 distributors listed will do great for you.

I agree with Guy, General Pumps have always held up well for me.

It's not about the biggest or baddest Charlie come on.....It's about making money, and making it faster. PPro 8 gpm unit is $3000.00 little more than twice what a 4 gpm costs, twice the gpm, and washes twice as fast. Making money twice as fast. Don't you have two 4 gpm hooked together?

Yes, I do now after several years. But for someone who isn't even started yet and is only looking to get in the industry, I'm just saying I think its over the top that people are recommending udor pumps and 8gpm machine for someone who hasn't even washed a house. I mean yea if you have the cash to pay for it, sure. I'd just rather see someone like that invest the money in some marketing and learning the basics and get some cash flow before building a dream rig.

Different opinions I guess.

How about this question before you start tossing machines out there... What are you planning on washing?

Kind of determines what you will need.

Which if they've done their homework they would already have this in the budget. I just don't understand why $1500 more for a unit would stand in the way of making $200 or $300+ an hour. You won't do that with a 4 gpm machine.

If you're starting in this Business, plan and equip to succeed not fail. This puts you way ahead of the curve.

I would never advise someone to buy equipment first, education first and foremost.

Guys,

Looking at getting started in the industry.

I know this may be a subjective answer kind of question. But who is the best online seller/distributor of pressure washing equipment? Everything one would need to get started (machines, hoses, chemical, etc). I am looking for a one stop shop.

Thanks.

Brad, if you need any help or want to see what it's all about give me a call, you're only 4 hrs away from me.

Before you spend a dime on anything (I know that the money is burning a hole in your pocket and you just want to spend it quickly), I would go and work with someone in the industry and see if you even like the work, every year guys go and spend money saying how they will like this kind of work and end up selling their new equipment on here, ebay or craigslist for pennies on the dollar, no, not almost what it cost brand new, about 1/2 the price of new or less since it is used and it happens all the time no matter what you think.

See what kind of work is available in your area, do some research and see what kind of work most of the pressure washing companies are doing in your area, see if they are busy, see what kind of quality work they are providing, etc.....

There are contractors here that you can go train with so you get to know the equipment, figure out what you like to clean, figure out exactly what you need to purchase, see what it takes to do the job and get the job done, etc....

Chances are you will spend the money before you do any of this and end up regretting it like a lot of other guys do just jumping into the business without looking at it closely first.

It is up to you, nobody can make you do the right thing but yourself.

Good Luck.

Guys,

Thanks for all the help and advice. I know I am asking a lot of questions and it seems to some like I am going to dive right into this head over heels, but that is not the case.

I currently have a decent job with good insurance and benefits so I am not going to throw that away just yet. I want to start out small and work my way from there. Everyone has to start from somewhere.

I have talked with a couple of the PW contractors in my area and they have told me the work is good and steady. Plus they all seem to love what they do.

I am just starting my research into this and getting the right equipment within my budget is just the first step. I mainly am wanting to start out doing residential housing and flatwork. I guess with equipment startup, advertising, insurance, and other misc. stuff, I am wanting to start in the 5-8K range.

I plan to buy some things piece by piece and hopefully be operational by late winter-early spring 2012.

The way I look at is that if I buy all this stuff and it doesn't work out, then I will have one kick butt setup for my house for a long time :thumbup2:

I think that you would be making a mistake and really be upset with yourself if you got a 4gpm a 4k thats a bunch of pressure and not much gpms.Good luck with the setup.

For my money I would go with more flow than pressure especially on residential work. 5.6 @ 2500 will keep you in a good price range and give you all you need to do the work.

$1595 plus shipping (usually about $150) includes hoses gun wand...all you need to get started, same machine we had for the make a wish raffle.

That is a great price Paul.

How much more to put an 8gpm GP Pump onto that? That would be great for fleet washing.
