Before and after dumpsters.

Thanks Larry. I've got lost of nasty dumpster pics. They only clean them around here when the health department makes them. I've preached maintenance til I'm blue in the face. Here's a demo I did that has since healed over.

I know what you mean Dustin. I think I could probably go on stage during a Blue Man Group performance and fit right in. Hotels, Resturaunts...Maint, Liabitity issues and on and on...Face to face... letters... Flyers... I give up! Then when they do want to do it like you said, because they HAVE to they go with the cheapest lowballer looking to satisfy his beer craving and only have it done 1 time until the next warning...
 
I would first think that I would have to have dumpsters to clean before I could propose a maint. program Ron. You guys must actually have people up there who care about the way their areas look and are willing to pay to keep them nice. Down here seems to be just the opposite. Some may dissagree but I have yet to find a copany who gives a whoot! And YES I HAVE TRIED!
 
Actually if you hook each pocket on the container by putting the chain through and hooking into the back of the sleeve a second chain works nicely to grab in the center of the first chain and hook to your truck. The pallet jack probably wouldn't work. The garbage weight never seems to be displaced evenly and loaded cans will sometimes fall off of a forklift if the forks aren't spread wide. Or at least that has been my exprerience. If you really do a lot of them you could send someone around with a fork trailer ahead of the resturuant crews,

whats the prices you guys are charging for maintenance agreements.

Let say the center with in 15 miles and they have 16 dumpster. How much would you charge each month?

In all honesty it depends on how fast I could do them.My commercial maintenance rates are competitive. I've used some of your exact pricing that you have shared in the past. I understand there's a difference between commercial and residential pricing. I think a lot of debates are fueled by this apples to oranges comparison.

Here they know what it is but most only want it cleaned if the health dep. gets on them. I do have a couple places that I just cleaned and they want me to clean them every three months now and that is better then nothing.
 
I probably shouldn't post this cause ya gonna laugh at me but I did everything I could to get that Ruby tues, that I posted. Way over and above to make them happy. The first time they called me was for an inspection and it was a Ch%t hole. They wanted it done by 10:00 am the next morning. Front ent,way, back loading dock area and around the dumpster. I cleaned the whole thing up and they were very pleased. Tried to get them on a monthly maint. NO GO! Corporate will only allow every 3 months. Agreed! I did the work for the next 2 cleanings and when I showed up for the 3rd there was a new manager. He wanted to know what I was doing for the money and I expalained. He then told me he had his own guy who would come every 2 weeks and do the same work and only charge $50.00 per visit. NICE! I told him good luck and to have a nice day! By the way, I was charging a total of $150.00 per visit every 3 months and trust me the place looked like a s#%t hole when I got there each time.
 
That is the going rate down here Larry, you priced it right. The only problem is the A-Hole manager who is going to save the company alot of money buy getting a hack in there to do it.

This is such a common problem, that is why you can never stop selling..

The Ruby Tues we do had their pressure washing budget cut to $75 a month by corp. 214 locations total.Instead of passing on the work at that price I now do them every other month for the combined $150 for both months.
They are staggered so we are always getting a check from them.Do one this monthe and one next month.
The best part is the aren't anymore dirty every other month than they were on monthly.
 
Actually, the manager is spending more. $50 per visit every two (2) weeks versus $150 per visit every three (3) months. A minimum of six (6) $50 visits (for a total of $300) will take place in the same time-frame that the single $150 visit would have occurred.

The manager figured he was getting a better deal with the other guy because he was getting 6 cleanings verses my 2....I guess the manager got off on taking advantage of some poor bastard who didn't know any better.. That poor bastard was sure as heck not gonna be me so he imediatly did not like me when he wasn't gonna be able to screw me. No way was I gonna do all that for $50.00 per visit even if he said come every week!
