Hi guys. I have this landa mvp 3-3000 with 350 hrs on it and the burner is not firing. The last few times i used it it did not fire untill after sqweezing the wand a couple times. yesterday it fired after 10 minutes of washing under pressure. It seemed to burn well and clean after it finally came on, other than a few puffs of smoke now and then, I guess it was going on and off.

I need help on where to start troubleshooting, spark, fuel, airflow and how do i test these things without the engine running? Do i connect a battery to the volage regulator for power?

Thanks for any help in advance

Do you have the wiring diagram for the machine? Does the key start on the engine work, or are you having to pull start it?

Ok, went to signature. I do have the wiring diagram and thought about checking the flow switch. This unit does not have a key start. It's a Honda 9 hp, pull start.

How do I power the burner to check these things without the engine running

With a 12 volt battery, you can run a jumper from the + to the side of the circuit breaker with the 2 wires attached and a jumper from the - side to any good chassis ground. Turn the switch on and the motor should start. Turn on a water flow through the machine, and it should fire.

Great, thanks Russ. I thought that was the case, I just wasn't sure. I'll try that yo get me going on things and let you know what I come up with.
