​ Hello, As a Recognized Surface Cleaner qualified by the Bay Area Stormwater Management Agencies Association (BASMAA), you need to be aware of emergency drought regulations adopted by the State Water Resources Control Board, which went into effect on July 28, 2014. The new regulations prohibit: Application of potable water to any sidewalk or driveway Use of potable water in any way that causes runoff onto "adjacent property, non-irrigated areas, private and public walkways, roadways, parking lots, or structures" Washing vehicles without a shutoff valve on a hose These regulations will be in effect until April 25, 2015, unless canceled or extended. Agencies may assess a $500/per day fine for violations. Exemptions will be granted "where necessary to address an immediate health and safety need or to comply with a term or condition in a permit issued by a state or federal agency."
