ball valve

I also use the ones from Bob and have decent luck with them. My only complaint is that they only last a month or so and then the inneards seem to melt away. I know Russ used to use them as well, maybe he will chime in on how long his last when being used alot. If they are used nightly with 180-200* you may get 1-2 months out of one and if you DS alot of detergents then you will be replacing them often. Best advice is above, "keep 2 on the truck, I try to keep 2 of everything on the truck" Always keep spares if your working at night, during the day you may have luck with a local vendor having something that will suffice to get you through till you can order more however if your out at night, your out of work for the night if something imperative goes out

Jim, those 6000 psi ball valves, how long do they usually last you?

I was thinking of giving them a try next time I needed to get more ball valves.

I bought 2 about 6 months ago. One is still working perfectly. The other I had a problem with the second night I used it, wouldn't shut off completely and was very hard to turn. I applied some WD40, worked great until last night, same problem.

I told Paul about the problem when it first happened. He told me to send it back to him and he would replace it. Then I informed him that the WD40 seemed to fix the problem. Now it's dysfunctional again and the WD40 didn't help this time. Hope his offer to replace is still on the table.

I like them because they weigh hal of what the bigger, long handle ones do. But the small handle does require a little bit more effort to get closed.

Thanks for the info Jim.
