ball valve to adjust pressure?

Here's how you do it. A ball valve instead of a wand. Micheal K. in KY.

That's how we do it in New England!! Thanks Mike K.

I have a 5.8 gpm at 3500 psi

Just drop your pressure down to 3050 or less at the unloader and you are within specs. You wont notice that much difference of 500 psi plus you are going to be operating at way lower pressures than that. You can make it work for your equipment if you want.

use your 2540 for low presure rinse, whats your gpm and pressure on ur machine?

so it's ok to use a soap tip like my 2540 on my j-rod....even though the injector is out of the bucket you can still hear air going through the hose
is there any problems with drawing air into the system? I was told once not to do that, this is why i'm asking

Thats what I use too as long as the pressure is set less than 3000 psi on the machine. They are a great ball valve they always seem to turn nice.

Getting an idea of how this works....the more you turn the handle the less water comes out right? so if all you want is a very light rinse like a garden hose with no nozzle this will work the same yes?
