Im with Russ, We wait till I need several fixed. And off I go to Car Quest Autoparts. They have the best machine for pressing hose ends I have found. Eventually hose start failing in the middle some where and then they are done.

The absolute best hose for the money is Goodyear Neptune Blue 4500 psi. We run our machines at 3000 psi or less and a hose rated at 3000 psi fails quickly. Get a higher rated PSI hose and it will last. But Iam old school and I will use something until it is absolutely worthless and worn out and has reached its life expectance plus 10%.

Hmm i never knew you could fix a hose. I had one spring a leak on me last week

One of mine broke Sunday right in the middle. ARRRG! Wasn't worth repairing. lots of rubber gone. It was an older hose anyway. Normally I fix them though until they are completely DOA...

I only fix them if they break near the end. Every place I know of here will not touch your broke hose period, except one that I'm friendly with.

Goodyear Neptune 4000 (1 wire) all the way!

anyone willing to throw a few hoses this way. I'll take em if you all throwem away. call me up 956-455-2884

Just in case you're not kidding, M&L Landa in Chesapeake repairs hoses for less than $10. If you haven't been to M&L, call me. If you do get there already, tell Lee I said "Hi!".

Hey thanks John for the tip i actually didnt know you could repair them. I have not been to M&L i may go there this week. When is usually a good time to call you?

your local Burton auto parts can fixem for about $10

Your right alot of places the liabilty is too high.

I repair my hose .. but not very often , I have learned that alot of the reason for hose breaking especially at the ends is because people pull on the wand and gun when pulling the hose and not on the hose itself.. I have been using the same 200 foot of blue non marking hose now for almost 7 months and only had to have it repaired once because it had a small pinhole leak in it ...
