That would be a questions for the State Fire Marshalls office. If it is like Kentucky there will be very little infromation. As of this date I do not know of any states requirements. Several cities have requirement. As the situtation looks down the road certification on the job is slowly creeping onto the picture for all areas in the US and Canada. If you get an opportunity to ask the Fire Marshalls office to interpet NFPA 96 "qualified, trained & certifide the result will be that they feel the servicing person onsite should be "Certifide". I have found this to be true with several conversation around the US & Canada. But as of right this monment anyone can clean an exhaust system. But I think the word "Clean" carries alot of weight.
