Watching that video makes me think, that if the United States Of America can do such an awesome feat as this......We Can Do Anything.....I Still Have Hope.
Saw the launching of the Columbia back in the 80's, it's even more Incredible 5 miles from the launch pad.
The sad part is that america doesn't seem to care about NASA any more. Its looked at as a waste of money. They seem to forget all the inventions that came from the space program.
Its not that Americans dont care about the space program, its that we need a new goal that only NASA can make happen. And a promoter. This president doesnt have goals and cant promote any thing but him

I have had the luck of being able to see Kennedy Space center 2 or 3 times. Always breath taking. The launch pad crawler is huge to say the least. I have gotten to walk part of the path that it travels down to the actual launch pad. I have see the building they put the shuttles together with the rockets. That thing is a beast. Pictures do not show how large it is. Kennedy still has some of the older launch sites still hanging around from past missions. Some of them are very derelict but they still give a feeling of awe.
There will be more missions. Mars is a frequently talked about destination.
