Attacking the Village Idiot?

I have been watching about six different BBS for the last 5+ years. All different and most very helpful. The knowledge and dedication of some is amazing. People dedicated to growing their business and helping others. What we want to accomplish on the UAMCC and all sites.
One negative thought:
Why do people spend so much time attacking others? I see post after post, condeming the LOW BALLER, village idiot, on and on. Some people spend most of their valuable time posting negative thoughts and info about others. If I spent 1 hr. a week posting, that is 50+ hrs. of information per year. If you make $20. / hr. thats $1,000. of your time. Some go on as to make up ficticious characters, videos and songs about these folks. Amazing how much time is crapped away on some one we don't know. '
Now on the other hand, if you spent the same time sharing positive ideas and growing your business, you'd probably make a lot more then the $1,000. Also gaining knowledge and fresh ideas.
What is the benefit of attacking others? What is the benefit of growing our businesses? You only have so many hrs. to live on this earth. Wouldn't it be better to do it making someone else and yourself better?
Just a thought.
 
Attacking lowballers , HMMM !! I never thought of that .... And come on Terry who makes just $ 20.00/HR .. I would starve at that.. More like $100.00 per hour here..Personally myself I love lowballers and Idiots ... They make me alot of money, When they take my accounts and underbid me and do a poor job, then the customer calls me back and pays a little more they see the difference in the lowballer ( Wal Mart Machine Guy ) and someone (ME ME ME ME ME ) with the right equipment and proper experience to do a 120% better job.. Just did a job tonight the customer was paying 4 guys to clean his hood with scrub brushes and a cold water machine ... I cleaned it in 4 hours by myself .. He was paying 325.00 I did it for 510.00 ... He said it looked really great and was well worth the money to have someone who knew what they were doing.....One thing about lowballers , where do they get cheap liability insurance ??? I have to charge a good price because my insurance is so high ...

Just human nature, Terry, just human nature...:rolleyes:
 
The lowballers are attacked to try and knock some sense into them. In residential cleaning, especially roofs, people are wary about us already. Most people get 3 bids before deciding. if 1 of them is a lowballer hack, then he takes that job from us. And residential isnt a 30 60 or 90 day gig. It is once a year, or once every 2 years. He may be out of business in a year, but he took a years worth of business from me and burned alot of potential clients. And what Ive noticed is is that for every legitimate company, theres about 20hacks in that market. If you dont expose them, they will just multiply even faster.
 
This venue makes it easy to attack another – If they had to face each other eye to eye the outcome would be much different. That issue makes things a little more attack orientated – making everyone appear to be equal. The good side and the bad side of our new world.:)

Some people just have a self-serving ego-maniac attitude. They don't play well with others. They consider everyone else beneath them. Everyone deserves to make money in this country. If it means buying a walmart pw'er and managing to make a hundred bucks a day, more power to them. There are plenty of people who would never pay the money a proffessional charges to have their homes cleaned. I am the only pw'er in my community that has a decent set-up. Two other guyes try to get work. They do very little. I respect them for the will to work and I have nothing bad to say about them. You see, things that are MY business are within my control. Things dealing with other people are none of my business. Most people these days don't feel that way. We get far too much of their opinions. Just take it all with a grain of salt. Weed thru it for the informative stuff.
