Tony I would love to take you up on this. I would wear a shirt and tie, go get a mani pedi, have my shoes shined and then go sell for you and I GAURENTEE I could close business! You guys have to get out of your own way! You don't know what you don't know!

Dj, I have no doubts about your ability to sell. This area out here is far different from the atmosphere in the south. You won't believe it till you experience it.

On the other hand I couldn't sell a thing in the South. I hust don't have the personality for it.

I invite you to come out any time you like.

It would be good experience for you to see how differently people with various backgrounds react.

Bring your moisturizing lotion. It gets dry out here even in the winter. On the bright side your hair will look great in the low humidity.

I say you both are wrong, I think the tie will all depend who they are.

Now the issue is Tony has pre-selected all his targets.

What I don't know is who the targets are, I do know this.

If I walk into a construction trailer with shined shoes and a tie the the super and other subs might be laughing at me as I walked out the door, they would remember me for sure. I doubt they would hire me. If I got to pushy they might lead me on drag me out on site right by the water truck tell the guy on the water truck to give me a code five. That's a splash as I come by. Shoes now would no longer be shiny. All this might be on a video so they could play it back later after lunch while they are slapping high fives to each other. As a matter of fact these guys will discriminate depending on the vehicle your in. Minimum your car gets a code five just for coming in a bothering them.


So now the show are not shiny the suits shrinking from Getting wet. Your the entertainment for the rest of month.

Yes with this group they are stereo typing you gay like Tony and Nick.

Do what works for you and your company. I've walked into a business where its very informal with cats, dogs, and children running around, its not about what you wear its about learning to adapt to your surrounds. I think anyone who is doing anything to better there business is on the right track, There are guys on here that would exclaim that what they did is the best way to do this, that, and the other thing and another guy will say no I did it the complete opposite way and I can bet they are both doing good, why because they are doing something to better their business. Be it sending fliers, post cards, calling, emailing, door to door sales you will get the work if you work to get it.
