Anyone know what this is?

------:

Congratulations on taking the time to schedule a QUICK appointment with me. I am in your area for only a few hours. I am very busy helping other managers with getting their properties marketable for the spring and will be very respectful of your time. Your scheduled appointment is for February 7th @ 12:30 pm.

Being fully prepared for the appointment will help me best serve your needs and challenges. To maximize our time together, I would suggest the following:

•a private place to meet if applicable
•access to your site to view challenges that you have
•copies of a site map of the property
•list of common questions you may have for me
•biggest challenge you face when hiring a company such as ours

With our less than 2% call back rate, A Rating with the BBB and a fully trained professional and uniformed staff – I can assure you that whatever the solution is – it will be a win-win for the both of us!

I look forward to helping you increase your property’s marketability.

Best Regards,
-DJ

Sounds like script for a telemarketer that calls me all the time saying he fix my google rankings.

I get this call pretending to be google, saying I may be in jepardy of loosing map placement!

I read it, and I don't think I would want to send it to my customers. I thought it gave an air of superiority, and I know what I would have done if I had received something like that. It would have been promptly filed and forgotten about. I am in a service business. If my customers cannot figure out that I am experienced by other factors, a letter like that will likely not help in my opinion, but then, I am in a different phase of life then you. I am 50 and have grey hair. It looks to me like you are either fighting for credibility, or that you feel your time is far more important then mine. Either is a negative to me.
Just my opinion.

DJ,

Cuddos your on the right track! The points of view above are correct and the letter needs a little clean-up. However you are young, aggressive and on the right path. I am sure you will grow your company in excess of a mil in no time and be on the Millionaires Panel at the next UAMCC convention.

Ditto, sounds arrogant?

John,

Thank you for your time on the phone today. I am emailing to confirm our appointment on Wed, Feb. 7 at 9am regarding coil cleaning at all your locations.

If there are any areas of concern that we need to be aware of we can cover those in detail on Wednesday and discuss solutions and alternatives.

Thank you for your consideration and we look forward to earning your business.

Tony Shelton

That sounds great and very professional Tony.

I don't know if it sounds any better than DJ's. I just know people out here don't have time to read all that long stuff. That email (on another date) led to a $12k coil cleaning job that we do every two years now. It was initiated by a fax campaign that Ron told me how to do all the way back in 2009.

I always figure that anything that looks or sounds like a sales pitch turns people off right away, especially busy people.

For example I hang up on 10 calls a day that start with "Hello, how are you". I don't have time to chit chat. I've got to get back to bashing and raising hell on the boards. lol.

On the other hand I got a call the other day where they guy started with "I'd like to sell you a system that will help you organize your workforce". I told him I wasn't interested. He thanked me, asked for my email address and apologized for interrupting me. I got to thinking about it a few seconds later and called him back. I don't know if I'm going to go with it or not, but he's pitching some work scheduling software that might be something I could use.

That's all just my opinion. And it's regional. If you go calling on customers with a tie on in this climate you'll never make it past the gatekeeper. But that's all regional preferences. In Kentucky I'm told they like mani's and pedi's. lol.

Wait! Stop! You mean there are people that become millionaire's in this industry?

Over thinking things can sometimes get in the way of success. It makes me think of the phrase "Paraysis by Analysis".

The phrase describes a situation where the opportunity cost of decision analysis exceeds the benefits that could be gained by enacting some decision, or an informal or non-deterministic situation where the sheer quantity of analysis overwhelms the decision-making process itself, thus preventing a decisiony Analysis.

In other words, apply the KISS method... Keep it Simple, Stupid!
