Another Idea for winterizing PW

Here's another one that just popped in my head to help winterize your Powerwasher.

Take a clear hose maybe 1"in diameter and have a connection on both ends. One end to hook into the water feed for the PW and the other end that hooks into the unloader(Where pressure washing hose hooks into). This hose can be lets say 5' or what ever length you need.

Try to follow me here. Now at the ends of this hose you have on/off switches to control the flow inside the hose. Now with one end of this hose on the off position fill up this hose with your antifreeze, then hook it op to you powerwasher. Turn both sides of this hose to the on positions and start the PW. Watch the antifreeze go in and out of the PW thru the hose. Do this for a minute or two and even turn off the hose end where the antifreeze would be coming out of the PW to fill up every port in the PW with antifreeze.

When done. Turn off the machine and close both ends of this hose. Then disconnect and put this hose on another PW and do the same. When done with all machines just make sure that this hose is shut off on both ends and just store in your trailer to be used for another day. It will still have the antifreeze in it that you can re-use.

Or maybe I just ate to much Turkey today and my mind is daydreaming.

Why not just have a T at your h20 inlet with a suction hose .and a shut off valve ....Then when ya want anti freeze shut off main tank and suk anti freeze from a 5 gal bucket..........

whats up with the switches? are they elec.?
I know you said it was another idea..

I dont use anti freeze.............as a matter of fact b/c my stuff is in a inclosed "pattywagon" and the pattywagon in the garage ....i dont even turn on my propane heater untill it gets to ZERO.....OUT


I keep an eye on my swimming pool out side with the winter cover on it and when i see it turning solid ..then i turn on my heat.....(in pattywagon)........saves alot of propane.............

COOL IDEA THOUGH wonder if it works????
 
How about one of these two options:
1) If you have a float tank on your machine. Pour antifreeze in the float tank and turn on the machine for a moment. But you won't fill the coils up on the first try, you have to repeat it several times until antifreeze comes out the output of the hose.

2) No float tank no problem. Fill a 5 gallon bucket with 3 gal of anti freeze and 1 1/2 gallons of water and hook a short stiff hose with one end in the bucket and the other where the water hose normally attaches to your machine. Turn on the machine untill the buckett is empty. Beleve it or not all machines that don't have a float tank will suck water unless the hose is soft then it will flatten the hose instead of pulling the water in.
