American or European roulette – which one do you think is better?

I've been giving online roulette a shot lately, and I keep bouncing back and forth between American and European versions. I know the extra zero in American roulette technically lowers the odds, but sometimes the thrill of a slightly riskier game is appealing. So, I was curious to hear what everyone else prefers? Do you stick to the European version for "better" odds, or do you sometimes dabble in the American one for fun, or some other reason? Does anyone have a strategy that works better for one versus the other?

Ultimately, I guess it is a matter of preference. I might try American roulette again for kicks.
