Hi all. Still making my rounds reading all the good info on the site here. Came across the forum getting info on the siamese pressure washer setup, and was sure glad I found this place.
I'm a mechanic / autobody technician at heart, that past bosses and contracts with insurance companies have just poo'ed all over. Tired of giving my all to those who either didn't care, or cared for only themselves, I started paint finishing and detailing for myself. With the daily rain in summer, 4/5 people wanting a "$20 detail", and all the discrepancies.. I was ready to expand my services to my repeat clients, while pursuing new clients.
As with all on this site who help with their knowledge and passions: if anyone is a detail hobbyist with questions, I'd be glad to help you any way I can. (In pm to not hijack anything, I'd guess would be best.)
Hey, I'm Jacob Clabaugh and I run Jacob's Mobile Wash in SouthEast MO. I have been washing for a couple years here and there while going to college for a degree in entrepreneurship. I've mostly washed tractors and trailers, but a few houses and some logging equipment too. I'm almost finished with school and trying to get serious with the business. I've been reading public posts for a while and am excited to finally have a source of real knowledge. I don't mind washing trucks but I always make more on houses or patios, and a lot easier. I'm hoping to hit a few surrounding towns with marketing materials and ads this spring and picking up a lot of residential business, but until then I'm trying to fill my weekends with trucks. I have already learned a lot from you guys and looking forward to learning a lot more as a member.
