Alkota BURNER NOT FIRING UP.

Sounds Like an Electrical problem in the switch even though it clicks doesn't mean it's good...

12 volt Alkota? The toggle switch feeds volts to the pressure switch. The pressure switch activates a solenoid similar to a Ford starter solenoid (although it looks like a starter solenoid, one for starting won't work. You need a constant duty solenoid). So, check the pressure switch, then the solenoid. Pressure switch is up in the pump / unloader area. The solenoid is behind a plate to the right of the battery.

To bring this post back up.

Im having the same problem, but no clicking sounds. Burner just wont fire up now.

How do I go about checking the pressure switch, then the solenoid. Is it a matter of buying the items and trying them out?

Thanks...

Thanks Russ. hope this gets me up and running on finishing my first job...

Switch for burner I hear a click, fan on burner is not spinning and it is not firing up, anyone maybe know the problem, electrical? battery? what are the usual problems? Thanks.

Call me about those chems this week, just mixed some potatoes up.

would either of these be the pressure switch?

Thanks for the help,
