Charlie I wasn't trying be a Ahole about it, sarcastic a little. You make a lot of statements on subjects like this and me, you and others have had many discussions on the different BBs about political, medical and whatnot, , heck we've battled it out all in good fun. I thought this just was another one

So I guess you're not going to answer about your families medical coverage over the years?

Brow beat my employess, nah I understand all sides, I'm just a realist. Heck a few of my guys say I'm a great boss, thats why most of them have been with me for 4-7 years, that and my great personality

I don't know what my parents insurance is, I mean I know they have it but I don't know what it covers and stuff. I haven't been to a medical doctor in a long time, for cavities and eyeglasses I've gotten I just paid for it regular

From millions that have insurance and dont use it for years and pay and pay, from the gov, from taxes from employers and employees, the list goes on and on. Its always been a numbers game and for years the numbers werent as bad for insurance companies, now as we get older, med costs go up and up the insurance companies are raising and raising the costs for policies

Hey its just like Term Life Insurance Policies, they can offer a $100K policy cheap for a 20 year term, they know must will live past that term and all your payments go in their pocket. I was amazed when my agent told me less than a 10th of one percent ever collect on a Term Life, they out live the term. Numbers are good for insurance companies on Term Life, not so good for Health Insur

But Health Insurance is a basic necessity and yes its all screwed up

I guess I'm just a little suspicious of the effectiveness of an enterprise that mankind was able to survive without for almost 6000 years. (and that includes the enterprise of long term financing too)

Ya, but cavemen life expectancy was only around 35 years old. This caveman wants to live as long as God and Modern medicine will let me, so I will try to hold onto my med Insur ...Ug
 
Another reason I had bought Whole Life Policies for me & my family years ago, there is a great cash value in these and the monies will be there when you need it. Lots of people live in the moment Jeff especially when your young I get it, but eventually they come around to reality...lol...Plus saving your cash for an emergency is easier said then done, life always seems to get in the way of that.

Life sure can get in the way. I want a lot of things, addition to the house, pool and more, but I rather save & invest, I have a young family and they will need it when I'm gone, more than a pool

I have a few good whole life. Do have a couple good sized Terms that I got back some years ago, just in case I kick the bucket real early

Man I turn FIFTY, Thursday WTF.. How the heck did that happen. Hey they said I'd never make 20, so I'm doing good
 
How would things be different without insurance and the bloodsucking lawyers they spawn?

I used to write software for the medical billing industry. Without getting into a full breakdown of it, that $2500 test would produce the same net income to the doctors office at approx $310 if it weren't for lawyers, government fees and lobbying and insurance.

My friends 3 month recovery was $250k to the insurance company after his motorcycle accident. He could have eventually paid cash if it was only 31k.

Those three entities are the reason prices are so high.

You are absolutly right Tony...and thats not going to go away anytime soon, so like I said they have us by the nut's and we either pay or go without.

50 is nothing today, I dont feel old and I can still run circles around most of the young guy's that work with me. Lisa will keep you young and so will the kids.

It's going to hurt a lot of people before this country can heal. Putting it off is only prolonging the problem. We should make he corrupt politicians pay like they do in China and they should be executed when they take bribes to promote one company over another to the detriment of the people.

I am amazed that there hasn't been a revolution over what these scumbags have done to this country. I'm sure if this continues to spiral in a downward motion there will be a mass movement to take these slimeballs out of power. I love how they raise the debt sunroof and then go on vacation until september 7th ? Who are these people, do they have a clue how bad people are hurting. I have never seen so many people holding signs on every intersection I drive thru, but lets send aide to every other country on the planet before we help our own.
