Aftermath of "not shopping" Bmps.

That would be an interesting call to listen to and see what comes out of it and if there is integrity left or not.

I find it hard to believe that someone that was so tight in the planning, on the committee and helped put the event together did not know exactly what was going on the whole time unless maybe he was not at the event, not involved in everything and was not there listening to what the speakers said or was just playing video games on the phone the whole time.

You know what they say, if it smells like B.S., looks like B.S. then it probably is B.S. but that is just my opinion.

It is possible that he did not know what others were doing behind his back..............maybe.

Pretty sure their is a post somewhere of him telling you to stop whining about the video Jim made of Chris...just can't remember where. If it wasn't here it's probably been deleted by now. As for saying he knew nothing about the stricter rules and emails....oh my gosh my stomach is hurting from laughing...

I'm curious to know why he wants to set the record straight....now. This was brought to light months ago and he is pretty "Vocal" on the boards about truth, integrity, being "Real" and so on......so why didn't he "Set the record straight" then? Or at some time between now and then?

So what dynamic has all of a sudden changed for him to see the light? Hhhuuuummmm?

If a group of people would have done something like this to me behind my back without my knowledge I would have been the first to defend myself and explain the situation...............yea smells like BS to me too.
 
It is amazing how some people will stab you in the back, attack people you know/care about and the next minute they are trying to be nice, kind of like a bi-polar type of person but in this case, just something else.

Seems most here think it smells of B.S.

My gut feeling is that there is something else up a certain sleeve, sounds like a call will be recorded just to be used against people later on for some reason not known right now. Probably several others will be on the call also to be nosy or to start up their drama again. Sounds like a setup to me.

If it was me, I would just stick with the people/friends that have not stabbed you in the back, created all kinds drama, started threads just to attack people, etc..... in other words, I would not call that person or several others out there and keep on having a good life and being happy.
 
I read a report many years ago that some psychologists put together from their many years of helping people.

From what I remember, it says that 95% to 98% of people never change because it takes a serious life-altering incident to make change happen like a heart attack, serious accident, devastation in the family, etc...... and of that 2% to 5% that do change, only 2% of them keep that change for a year or longer and the rest fall back into their previous life/actions/habits within a year so basically almost nobody ever changes and if they do, hardly any of them keep the changes.

There is more to this but if I was a betting person (I don't gamble because I don't hardly ever win and I hate to just throw away my money), I would bet that this "call" is just some type of setup or scam to be used against people later on like how past info was used against many people to start the bashing threds over on tgs earlier this year and then after they did their damage, the threads got pulled. It is a shame that the threads were allowed to happen at all, then allowed to be up for weeks then taken out of public view.

I would hate to see this type of nonsense start to happen again but there are some people that just cannot live without a constant stream of drama on the forums whether they start it or they just add to it, they start the threads just to get info about stuff you like just to use it against you later on.
 
When someone is presented facts, is told about certain things about an event but still accuses people of doing things to damage an event, there is something seriously wrong with them when in fact the event was doomed from the start as there was no due diligence prior to the event to see if certain things can happen due to unions, rules, regulations, and other circumstances that are there but people have no clue about because they did not look into it first to see if they can do what they want to do before doing the song and dance about the event and talk about how great it would be, etc.....blah blah blah.

I know that there were at least 4 people that talked to others about asking for their money back, not sure if they did ask but they were concerned about getting bashed on the forums if they did ask for their money back because they would be seen as "drama" people instead of being seen as people that were duped, mislead and lied to about the event to get them there because of things that did not happen at the event that were supposed to have happen there.

I am sure that if the offer for a refund happens, there are at least 4 guys that would jump on it.

Back to the topic here, I would not do any call with these type of people because of what they were doing to reputable contractors on the other forums to attack them, start bashing threads about them and trying to make these contractors' characters not look good in public. What kind of person would do this type of thing over and over and over on other forums just to attack other people? It makes you think if they really are mentally stable and need serious professional help. This type of thing would not be allowed on other forums but since they are "above the law" over there and other moderators did not do anything to stop it, it makes you think about the other moderators as well.

This is my opinion, not the opinion of this forum.

I have learned yesterday of new regs coming down the pipe line for Northern and Southern California. This information will be presented in our next Environmental Parking Garage event for 2014.

But to give you some insight of what I have learned, these new regs that California and Region Nine will be enforcing will make the Texas Issues seem like child's play.

I will work with the Region 9 and local POTW's to delay or modify these strict regs coming down the pipe line. I will use all of my contacts to make these regs more favorable to the mobile washer.

Everything from discharge to using just plain water to clean with is being amp up and further restricted. As I have said before in 2008 and before the Texas incident, these regs will eventually reach other states. I imagine it will eventually go to Maryland, Atlanta, South Carolina, Texas would the states to be following California, sooner then later would be my guess.

For the record, I do not agree with what is coming down the pipeline. I only support Parking Garage Cleaning with Filtration and other extreme class II waste discharge that should be filtered before discharge.

These regulations are not being enforced as of Today, but they are on the books for discussion. My job is to try to modify those regs to benefit the mobile washer, especially those who just want to clean sidewalks using Hot Water and without any chemicals being used.

For the new guy getting into this line of work, may I suggest you start saving your money for a Vac and filtration system like the Hydro Tek AV-88. Its about $4,500 or less if you can work out a deal. Vacuuming all of your waste water with full recovery is the talk of the EPA as of today, though hopefully this can change especially since I do not have a vac system yet, meaning, I will have to buy several.

When this hits, expect the pricing for those vacs to increase ( Supply and Demand). I am sure those who sell their vac units at a higher price then today. I am sure they will state that the costs are going up, when it most likely will be supply and demand.

My suggestion, start saving . . . yesterday.

Those who work in region 9, will have a rude of awakening when this goes into effect, unless I can pull a rabbit out of the hat in the 11:00 hour.

I think John enjoyed what he thought was "sticking it" to Ron and me by being involved in a group the seemed to be powerful.

He did call us numerous times during the "event" and invited us to come join him and a couple of others for dinner or drinks.

Both Ron and I would have liked to see him but after talking about it we declined the dinner invitation because the risk of being painted as troublemakers invading their event was too high. We were afraid that even though a private dinner would have nothing to do with the event, it might be construed as interference.

With all the phone calls and texts John had many opportunities to inform us when the regulator was speaking and invited us to his session. But they kept that secret and never let us know.

John told me yesterday that he invited over 100 power washers from Las Vegas to come to the event. I informed him that there are less than 100 power washers in the whole state. The most comprehensive list on the internet includes almost all the power washing companies we know plus window cleaners, janitorial services, street sweepers and auto detailers and the whole list is only 68.

After I informed John that it was impossible for him to have called and invited over 100 power washing companies he then said he had emailed the invitations to them. This too, is impossible. I would like to invite John to forward the date stamped email invitations to 100+ contractors to me who were supposedly invited.

Upon receipt I will personally and loudly apologize for presently calling him a liar in this matter.

If any invitations at all were sent to any local contractors you can rest assured they were chosen carefully as our competition much in the same manner as when Hilborn sat in his hotel room in Phoenix calling Ron's competitors without realizing that those competitors were then calling Ron to let him know some nut case was calling around asking questions about him.

I just can't understand the culture of lies.

I could literally go on for pages if I had the time to go back and read posts.

Why the lying?

Have they just simply gotten away with it for so many years because of their social status that they now don't even bother trying to make sure the lies make sense?

You can't question the claims of this one because he's a cop. You can't question that one because he has a big fleetwashing business. You can't question that one because he's old, or an "icon".

On the other hand everyone is supposed to suspect what I say because I am confrontational and do not exhibit that false southern style smile-in-your-face stab you into the back etiquette.

Everyone is supposed to suspect everything Ron says because he is big, loud, energetic but private about his business holdings and is anathema to the khaki pants and dress shoe wearing group who constantly sue each other while sitting side by side at industry panels representing themselves as "experts".

The future looks great for our industry. For the first time ever we have an industry org that isn't so desperate for members that it will take anyone regardless if their character and actions fit the requirements of membership or not.

The UAMCC is saying "no think you" to the money of those who can't be trusted to tell the truth. It is an org that can't be bought.

If you agree with what these representatives of the pwna have done please continue paying your pwna dues. You are not welcome at the UAMCC.

I would invite any pwna members who believe your leadership does not represent your goals or your morals to resign your pwna membership and join us at the UAMCC to help undo the damage that years of a culture of lies has caused.

Guy, the only honest thing in that long post was the part where it says (/QUOTE) at the beginning and end where you quoted it.

It is another example of complete and utter BS made up entirely in his head as he goes along.

This is why the Nevada regulator began one of his emails to the other regulators with "More lies from Jim Gamble".

Jim is just one example of a self claimed contractor who is not welcome in the UAMCC.

I saw that email, I'm glad the regulators saw through the deceptions & lies without outside influence from anyone. None the less, damage done.

The ironic thing is its not "Us versus Them" contractors versus regulators.........it's "Us versus Us" with the damage & sabotage coming from within our Industry

Those are the emails that should be sent all around the country to the EPA, Storm Water, Waste Water and other departments in every city around the country to warn them of what is/might be coming to not only lie to them, waste their valuable time, try to get them to buy non-needed services, change bmp's or policies to others that not only don't make much sense but make contractors go out and buy non-needed equipment from unscrupulous vendors and more nonsense like that.

This is something that will not only help existing contractors but new guys to the business also.

With a warning like this, this will really help those out there be warned and be looking out for those that are up to no good.

Some of you guys that are in contact with those in those departments, maybe you can talk to them about sending out those messages, I don't think that they would have a problem with it as it is helping them and us both and not causing any harm or telling anything that is not true.
