adding GPM

Will a Honda 13hp belt drive push a pump of 5.5 gpm or more? What i mean to say is ... can you replace a smaller pump with a larger one and keep the generator?

If horsepower remains steady, as you increase GPM you lose the power necessary to build pressure. Yes, a 13HP engine can push 5.5GPM, but it will not be able to maintain 4,000PSI as it could with a 4GPM pump. You could put an 8GPM pump on a 13HP engine if you wanted to, you would just be limited to a lower pressure.

HP= pressure, if you want more gpm and pressure you will need more HP.

What brand pump, John?
Got a link?

AR makes a direct drive 5 or 5.5 gpm pump that will fit right on what you've got. With 11 hp, you can get 5 @ 2,500 or 5.5 @ 2,250. Plus, sticking with AR brand, your unloader setup should go right on regardless if it's seperate components or a bolt on. Call me for pricing if you like.

Oh no. Stay away from that model. I have replaced several under warranty on John Deere washers. They're fragile. The valves are no good. You want an RKA or RKV. That's the RSV.

Does the unloader bolt to the side of the head? If so, just pull the 2 bolts and move it.

Is loaded in the van right now, ready for a small driveway tomorrow, but I'll take a look at it and see how the unloader is attached and see.
Thanks for the heads up.
What about pricing on the RKA or RKV's ?
PM that if you will.

Here is your hp formula for a gas engine. Gallons per min x PSI / 1100 = hp required for operation. As long as your hp is equal to or greater then required you are ok.

Russ I am doing a 8-10storie building. My goal is to have my pressure washer on the flat roof where there is water hook up. But my question is how high can I go before I have problems. I heard what can happen is the cerimac pistons might crack if I run it from the ground. I will be renting a 120 lift.
