8 stories straight up! 3ft X 2ft shaft, about 3/16 inch build up on the vertical surface (as far as I can tell), access at the top and bottom only

What would you figure the chances are this actually gets cleaned after going through the cleaning process? Soaked with chems and flushed with a duct spinner using 5 gpm at 3000 (Hopefully! we haven’t figure out how to get it up there yet but are working on it). I have a property manager who will not take no for an answer.

The problem with that idea is that part of the duct is not at the roof, any work done will have to be done through an access panel. This is pretty much a chemical/ duct spinner job and I just don't think it will be very effective.

We have had good results doing 3,5 & 6 story stacks. In 24" stacks we can reach the side with out a problem. Larger the spinner will tend to travel to one side. If you can reverse the spinner it will go to the other side.

First time cleaning if the system is shutdown for several days we have applied degreaser and let it sit overnight. Reapply in the morning and rinse. When we apply degreaser we fill the hose with straight product, then push it out using one of our pressure washers. This way we are applying the product at 2000 psi or more. We would rinse using our large truck mount unit at around 9 gpm.
