I just returned my Briggs and Stratton to Sears due to a broken frame (4.5 mo. old), so I am starting off from scratch again except fo rmy M5 X-Jet. I need some feedback on what to buy. If you were going after 1-2 story home roofs, siding and concrete as well as commercial buildings what type of equipment would you start with. I really only want to spend about $7,000 on a trailer and a good heated system with a large water tank. ANy other recomendations for add-ons is appreciated (like compressor, shuflo, generator, etc) I will also be buying a van to haul it all with. I have quotes from Northern and Silver Eagle Mfg. for some rigs.

I have a lot of advertising hitting tomorrow so I need to act rather quickly.

Thanks in advance.

I would check ebay, and the other bbs's,there are a fair amount of used rigs for sale now.I would also check with Delco ,they are right in your home state and their hot water units are fairly priced ,and excellent quality and their customer service is great too.If you look at most high end hot water skids many of the components are the same ,or they offer many of the same components as options.I would stick with American made for obvious reasons, and parts are more universally available. If your van is also in your $7000 budget,I would concentrate your money more on the van and the hot water unit and tank ,hoses ,wands etc,and put the generator and compressor on hold and add tham later as you can afford them. You can use the van to haul everything in(especially a cubevan, then you won't need a trailer) until you can afford a trailer.Don't let your deadline rush you into buying something your not sure about, you can schedule customers a week or two into the future but you are stuck with your equipment purchases.
Good Luck!

I am calling the guy in Ft Worth tomorrow - he had a post on the Delco board. The van is seperate from the $7,000. The money is approved and ready to go I just want to make very sure that what I buy meets my needs and will last long enough to pay for itself and then start generating pure profit. The only reason for the trailer is because I want to use the van for family transportation if needed as well as transporation of floor and carpet equipment, employees, etc. for my janitorial side of the Co. American Eagle pretty much sold me on the trailer construction. They just threw me on the direct drive pump. They were adamant about it and I have heard nothing but bad things regarding direct drives. Ramteq, Northern, Delco, and these Forums all say go with a belt drive in order to step down the transfer from the motor to the pump.

P.S. I posted a question somewhere else regarding roof cleaning chem specifics to get immediate results. I have not used anything so far that gets me what I am looking for. I am starting to use an X-jet. Any experience with black nasty asphalt shingles?
