5gpm pump swap for 8gpm

My Alkota 5355j is a 5gpm 20hp, I've looked at other hot water units that are 8gpm and we both have scheduled 80 pipe and some even have 20 hp motors. At 5gpm I have 3500psi. Would I be able to step up to an 8gpm pump?

I am building a 19 horse with 8gpm pump now. You can do it but I don't believe you will be able to have full psi out of your pump.

Your only going to get close to 3000 psi the burner wont be able to heat the flow as much as it does now But it can be done.

Yes Matt, it can be done, although, as stated above, pressure and output temperature will be lessened.
