Maybe you missed this post. I dont care if u use straight SH. It will still be there. Also even when it is clean there will still be shadowing du to the morter has been in this krud for so long
 
I mixed it 50/50 and sprayed it on with the f9 applicator. For an area that small a pump op sprayer will work fine. then I just washed it off wilt mild pressure maybe 1500 psi so not to damage the mortar joints.
