4 Foot Surface Cleaner

better yet pull that Puppy out for a Demo at Sonic??? LOL

You guys doing eat side Sonic? West side Sonic flaked when it came time to pull the trigger.

didnt Bob build one for John T that had three swivels in it?

I know Bob built it but I am not too sure who for.

Hey Tony errr Russ(Nice avatar:stop:) Bob did build a huge Surface machine which I think was 5' but not for me. I bought one of his badboy surface machines which I have attached to a picture here. Its around 32". The biggest one I seen was 6' that I used to have a picture of.

Besides the Swabby the biggest surface Machine that I have is the 38" hydrotek. You definitely need at least 8gpm to make these surface machines to work well.

The guy that does that has as big an egomas Jim, but even cooler equipment. Imagine 40 or 50 gpm at 3500 psi mounted on a class 7 truck with a surface cleaner, with full recovery slung underneath.

I hear you Scott. I have seen the truck at O'Hare that cleans their runways.
Super impressive.
You won't find that setup at Northern T.

Very cool!!! I lov fabricating stuff. Is that stainless steel? I am curious to see about metal fatigue in the arms after an extended period of time, constant vibration often times wreaks havoc, they seem a bit long. Regardless....that is awesome!! I want to see a video of it in action.

This is our first attempt. Everyone told us it would be impossible at 5.5gpm. It is not. It works on my machine. We are going to build a better model in a month or two. I will have a video for the board soon.

building something is easy, making it efficient is the hard part. Same principle applies to electric powered vehicles and alternative energy.

There is absolutely no way your faster with 5.5gpm and a 4ft surface cleaner than you could clean the same area with a 24 incher. You will walk more however you will clean more efficiently end of story. Now for my 12gpm machine it would be neat to ahve a 4ft surface cleaner but for practicailty not so much. Neat project i must say

My business partner and I created a 4 foot long surface cleaner! It works great. We used it today on a warehouse cleaning in Phoenix. Created it with parts from an old Landa Waterjet he owned. Had someone weld it together. It is twice the size as my 28".

Has anyone else created a huge surface cleaner? If so post....

Mike we gotta Test this Puppy, I have some Chemicals I would also like to test with this

Still no video? Is it still in service?

No, still no video yet. It is very hard to put it on the trailer and I have honestly been too busy to think about it. As of now the attached pic is the only proof I have that it works. But it works.

I will get a video soon for you Mike! Promise. We keep it in a storage because it is so big. It is just a pain to carry around unless we get another warehouse cleaning or garage or something with a lot of sq ft.

I will work on it!
