DJ there's a Great Opportunity for you here to admit whats apparent or stay in denial.

This community you resource and tune into daily was built collectively by all its members, it works as a mind melting greater than you have ever resourced. The reason it works is because there are giving people here, people who share and teach others willingly.

Some when they have achieved success share what they can, others just take. Here's the biggest secret, those who just take and take never understand the benefits of sharing and often will have a harder time advancing to the next level. Believe it or not Sharing Expands your mind and thoughts, it also makes others willing to share more with you. So tonight I stepped way out of my comfort zone stuck my neck out to try and ask for help with my business from the kid.I was met by what I consider to be a slap in the face by someone who has all to quickly forgotten where he started.
I now know no matter how much I have given of myself I can't expect the same in return.I'll make my way on my own like I always have in the past.If not I'll sell my equipment and move on.....to something else.

Give back when you can.. I worked In the past privately for Hillary Clinton and I can't stand the bleep and I don't like her policies but one thing she said and believe me I didn't read her book.. John in some cases it does take a village.......In DJ's case the village is missing thier idoit.

I don't have anything left for DJ.....I have always respected him for his drive to be his best.I do not respect the fact he has used myself and others in this industry to build his business only to turn his back when approached for help.

I would like a couple shirts also Scott if you take up Ron's offer. Don't know everything but also don't mind helping folks either. I have had the same type thing happen to me on a couple occasions where I helped guys out only to get screwed myself in the end. I don't post on here that often but have been in this business for 12 years and most of the guys that messed me around are out of bus. now. If I can ever be any help, give me a holler. I am in W. TN, still a good ways from you but in the south at least lol
 
This is such a shame, I remember many of us over on ptstate trying to convince him to get out of his "partnership" with his friend so he would not be tied down and stuck with this guy that was not helping him much and so he would not be splitting he profits. It was hard to convince him to get out of the partnership but eventually he did. I know he would not be where he is now if he was still stuck in that partnership.

I remember many guys telling me on the phone and in person at events around the country how much he called everyone on the bbs's asking for help all the time and some guys like mike K. basically tutoring him all the time to learn better ways of doing things and helping him on jobs a lot to show him how things are done.

It seems like he called even more guys than I heard about as I never heard about him calling Scott (I know Scott has a wealth of knowledge and experience and has helped me as well in the past) but I would have thought that he would be a lot more grateful than this when people that helped him in many different ways ask for a small favor from him as he had received help from a lot of people to help him on his way to where he is now (school can only take you so far, people out in the field in the real world will always take you a lot further down the road when it comes to experience, help, guidance, friendship, etc....) and to keep on helping him on his way.

What a shame.

There are a few cuntractors here in Houston that have done alot of that as well.
It sucks that people are like that. Just keep doing what you do man. Karma is always knocking at someone's door.

Hey Guys. We are not going to turn this into a DJ bashing thread. Offers of help and encouragement have been extended to Scott by several and it is up to Scott to decide on them. From what I see DJ was not even given the opportunity to or know what help Scott was referring too as for the help he needed. Love him, Hate Him, Agree, Disagree, let's remember DJ is a part of our community and deserves our encouragement and understanding as well, just as Scott does.

I don't hate anybody. This is not grade school. We are not all winners. We are not all equal. Mom said that we could be anything that we wanted to be when we grew up. Some people chose to be self centered egotistical asses. But that doesn't mean that I should be treated the same as the nice guys. Just because we both spray water for fun and profit does not mean that we all deserve the same consideration. We are not all deserving of support and encouragement.

I do agree with you that perhaps DJ could have been given a bit more leeway before being dumped on.

Tim welcome to the only Place in the industry you have this right, just wish more understood we allow this. Just have to do it with a Little Class, not much but a Little.
 
I wear this armband to remind me everyday that the modest business we built....was built by many. I feel a certain obligation to help someone that calls me for advice or help. I am humbled that someone would even take the time to call me to ask for advice or help.

Knowing Scott, he doesn't ask for help easily, so whatever it is must be pretty important. I'm not sure if you need my help or not Scott, but if you do just call...The answer is Hell Yea what can I do!?!?
