I used to brush all my trucks and trailers, but now I found a soap called road film remover which works really well. ( no brushing ) I know this soap has acid in it or brightner. My question is do you have to spray some soap on after you spray the acid on to neutralize the acid before rinsing it off? One more question how do you get the gas tanks and rims from getting oxidation on them from the acid in this soap?
where did you get the soap? ive never heard of a soap with an acid in but then agin there is alot of things ive never heard of please tell me what you find out i do alot of fleet washing but still have not found anything that i dont have to brush always tryin new stuff thanks
Chuck. I've been two stepping for years. Remember when you came over and I explained the way the two stepping worked? Give me a call.
I will tell you that you cannot have acid in an alkaline based soap. It would neutralize the acid and rendor the acid portion of the soap useless.
Two stepping is putting a low ph acid and then quickly following up with a high ph soap. This process saves brushing.
Chuck, you live like 15 minutes away from me. If you ever need a hand, just call. I told you I would even come out to your site and you could watch me wash. I would be willing to spend some time with you. Just call. Tell me where and I'll be there to show you... Save you a lot of headaches and time.
I have chems that I don't have to brush. Of course, I also use soft water so there's a world of difference and we cannot compare them. Take the same soap and wash one truck with hard water and that soap and wash the other truck with soft water and less of that soap, the soft water will be a much better wash and rinse. With the right soap and soft water, you shouldn't have to brush. I don't brush!
