Here is a sprayer cart I've been working on. The pump and the battery are in the bucket. The solution bucket sets on top of this bucket,..Both held in place by plastic yellow chains.

I also wanted to share how a $20.00 air hose reel can be converted into an application reel with a chemical proof core. The weakest link in the reel is the steel pieces that create the swivel,..but,..these pieces are easily replaced as you can see. And could also be made from stainless,.(I had galvanized on hand).
*The brass hose ends will also need upgraded at some point as well.

The hose reel is on sale at Tractor Supply,..but even regular cost is only $25.00,..keep it painted and it will last a LONG time. The swivel and spring needs to be removed,..and adapted to fit the new "swivel",.The adapter for this comes with the reel,..it is on the inlet side (1/2" M X 1/4" F)

Although the spring holds the reel itself on the frame of the reel,...this is easily accomplished with simple zip ties over the frame,..keeps the reel from sliding off,..and seems to be holding with no issues yet,..and I think it will be fine. You can see the zip ties in the second picture if you tilt your screen just right,Ha,Ha,..

This is my "prototype",..although the final version won't change much,...maybe a prettier bucket for the pump and battery.

*Also gonna be trying a wheelchair battery,..they are 12AH and only 8 LBS. The Delavan 7812 only pulls about 6 amps max,...so I think this battery will be ok for my uses.

**I've been using quick couplers as a swivel on my roof cleaning hose reel for about 10 years now,..so this idea works really well,..and doesn't wear o-rings like you'd think,..in fact about one maintenance change a season is about it.


***The hose is 3/8" Kuri-Tec Tundra air hose,..didn't like it at first,..but it is really nice after all,..does NOT kink at all. Has a weird property about it,..feels more like a heavy piece of rope.

****The inlet hose is 3/16" clear vinyl,..the small diameter allows for reduced flow and PSI,..and it sounds like the pump isn't working as hard as it does with 3/8" inlet hose.

Any pics of the reel with the hose unrolled?

If I understand you, the coupler is acting like the swivel now?

Hey Christopher,..I can get you a picture of the hose unrolled off the reel. But for now,..the hose attached to the "fixed" end of the 45 degree fitting,..opposite the couplers is where the yellow hose is attached. Not sure what your you looking to see with the hose off the reel?

Yes,..the coupler is the swivel,..and this is a proven idea that has worked for me for a long time on my roof cleaning reel. I posted about it originally on the grime scene,..a long time ago,...and I'm still using the same idea with NO issues whatsoever. And this one works just as well,..and I expect the same longevity.

The "core" of the reel is now made from a PVC hose,..it goes through the frame of the reel, and comes out where you see the female coupler attached,...effectively making a chemical proof core or manifold,..at least compared to steel.

I was thinking of something else and got confused.

Can you fit only 50' of the 3/8" hose on that reel? It would be great if that reel could hold 100' for that price.
 
Here are the better pictures. Wheelchair battery in top box, and pump in the lower box. Both well ventilated. Still a prototype,..but will be "perfected" by next season,..actually having fun making changes.

Thanks Christopher, those boxes are actually very small. They are not battery boxes,..they are ammo like plastic boxes TSC are now selling,..$10.00 each. They are JUST big enough for a Delavan 7812 pump to fit width wise,..length wise,..it has a couple of inches to spare.
