help with pricing

hi folks, ive got to bid on a job. It consists of 7 higher end coffee shops (starts with an S). Most are pretty close though one location is 40 miles away. It requires 2 million of liability and 500k commercial auto. They need the drive thru and the order sign (easy dont add extra for this). They also stay about 12 weeks behind in pay. I mainly do fleet so any help would be greatly appreciated. Know that they are getting bids from other contractors so dont help me overcharge as bad as I want to. They also need me to get the invoice signed by each location manager within 24 hours to show that work was actually performed. So you know what that means, an extra trip to the location the next day. I think I may find an easier way around that hopefully. I am thinking at least $350 per location right? Is this too much or am I way too cheap?

one more thing, I need two bids, either once and twice per month.

I don't do this kind of work but, what is a one lane drivethru 400-500 sqft? That's .70 per sqft.

I'd be careful in the future on how much info you give out on who you are bidding for.

You gotta love the get it signed in 24 hours so we can pay you in 90 days rule.

I'm sure someone who does this type stuff will jump in with some useful info.

Ron/Magazine,
I'd like to know how this turns out if either or both of you would like to PM me. If it is the only coffee store that comes to mind, they just opened 3 down here and there are rumors that more are coming. I'd love to know if it is 1 or 2 times per month and basic assumptions for bid pricing. Also are you figuring wash water recapture into your bid? They are really big on ecofriendly ventures. They make all locations recycle all paper and cardboard. Could be a good in for you if the other guys don't mention it in their proposals.

It's funny to me the wide range of specs they have for insurance from 1 location to the next. Our 1mil general/2mil ag was sufficient and they had no concern for commercial vehicle.
Their specs didn't matter all that much to me when the GM of the stores I bid told me what he would pay for a once monthly cleaning.Drive-thru,side walks and dumpster area was less than $100.

Scott, a coffee shop and i have several only take about 35 mins on average. Most are small store fronts in strip centers.

If the units are close enough or you have other accounts near them you can do them for 100 a piece easily and make 70 to 80 per hour steady.

If anyone has question please call.

I would never agree to returning for a signature with out charging extra.

thanks Ron,

I was about to overcharge and not get the job. Kind of disapointing since I was expecting 200-325 each.
Thing is, its kind of dangerous in a couple of the locations that late at night.
Reclaiming is a must with this job.....

So are you in the witness protection program? It helps with lot of advice if we know where you really are.

I am with Ron, I would charge a minimum and $100 is actually light for me, but Ron has a different type of operation than I do.

$100 is probably what they are looking for although I cant say it would be worth it. I will most likely bid $125 for each and hope I can do it quick and all of them in one night.
